Looks indeed very promising. And as usual the generous Auburn #free - version for people to check out. Bravo! :tu:

Pretty incredible that most features are free! A really interesting plugin.

If you've solved ringing on the linear phase eq, you could release a whole separate eq plugin based on that technology. It would be a breakthrough.

Request: A latency-compensated bypass button.

If there's a quieter section in the track, eg. when the drums drop out to leave just the bass and a vocal, the volume will slowly increase and then return back to normal when the drums return. But not only will the volume increase, the EQ effect will change as well, becoming muddier then becoming cleaner again.
If that happens (would be interesting to hear an example), it is probably that your Attack is set differently for bass and treble. Right-click on the comp Attack buttons to set them for both Low and High at the same time.

Your Release might be a bit long too, the sweet spot is usually around ~20ms.

Alternatively, you can Link the Bands more, with the sweet spot being around 70%. 100% is like an (expensive) full-band compressor.

My advice would be to setup selectivity first (and not touch it after), then link bands, then tweak comp, and only then add EQ. But, there are no strict rules there.

I’ve only tried it very quickly and I must admit this beast is impressive...
At first try I got better results for what I’m trying to do than any preset I’ve tried. Simply because it’s so flexible that you can tweak anything to your tastes.

I’m not a huge fan of the dry/wet feature (would love to simply adjust one knob), and I really have a problem with the plugin immediatly changing the sound on loading without any possible tweaking that makes it fully transparent (I love to start from scratch), but this is one of the most powerful tools I’ve seen in a while, for free !!!

Without these two no-go features I would have purchased the full version btw. A plugin that immediatly changes the sound and you can’t find your original sound back is a final no-go for me.

But in anyway it’s excellent. Congrats and thank you !

I am very serious when I say that Auburn makes some of the best plugins in the business, with the best business model. One of the best gates, best transient designer, best reverb / delay. This new plugin is indeed a game changer.
