NI Komplete 14

As usual, there are some instruments & Expansions I'm interested in.
I started with Komplete 11 and upgraded at each step during the summer sales. There's always enough to pull me in, but never enough for me to be ecstatic with the upgrade. Unfortunately, purchasing just the instruments I want is always more expensive than upgrading.
Despite hating subscriptions, I'm starting to wonder if I'm better off subscribing. I'd get all the new stuff when it drops and I believe pay less. I'd just need to purchase what I want to keep if I decided to end the subscription. That's when it could get more expensive than purchasing the 1/2 price upgrades.

i think they sell more and earn more money with the sample libraries instead of new vsts.
so the shocking thing again is how silent it is about ABSYNTH 5, no not that it got removed, yeah, but that you might NOT ACTIVATE it anymore, some time
the same shit as with service center.
too bad it seems it is just not many peopl who care... or just think for 1-2 weeks. Camelaudio was giving offline licenses to legal buyers. NI just f**ks over peoples' money. just says f*ck off you cannot use your legal software anymore when we shut down servers
. lovely. just lovely! give them more money and defend this philosophy!

I'm just glad that they didn't do GuitarRig 7 (yet). It would put behind the paywall those new modules that they promised and never delivered. Not that I believe that we will ever see any

Killing one of the best synths in the history of the synths. Well done, NI, bravo! Thank God Brian Clevinger looks like a smart guy so he will probably reincarnate Absynth in some form in the future under his company. Cant wait and my money is already ready, Brian!

...having K13 I still have access to ..say Absynth - so far so good ..and at the same time there're out there great alternatives for A5...update wise ...poor...hence they took PA & Isotope on board to strengthen sales,,, NI komplete is overflowing with completeness ... to the point where they don't know where to go next...I predict poor sales...upgrade/new purchases...Caine123 wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:37 pm i think they sell more and earn more money with the sample libraries instead of new vsts.

i hope so too that he could make some kind of follow up, maybe even a vst which can load the presets of absynth...HcDoom wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:49 pm Killing one of the best synths in the history of the synths. so give NI kontakt and their other stuff and take over the glorious vsts they just piss on. and the money will be well spend where it hopefully is better spend. i hope that sales (i dont wish, cause of karma) will show NI the right way...

It’s kind of amazing how bad this is. There’s actually fewer NI synths in this Komplete than there were in the last one. They just updated one browser and threw in a bunch of random third party clutter.

Brian Clevinger had stated a year or two ago that his next instrument will be a sample based synth and IIRC that it will be closer to Absynth or for evolving sounds. He had stated that the Rhizomatic Plasmonic synth was not an Absynth replacement.HcDoom wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:49 pm Killing one of the best synths in the history of the synths. Me? I'm looking forward to his sample based SampSynth or CDsynth.

I'm almost surprised that we didn't get GR7 with all the new modules they were talking about. And then I realize that they spent all their development time this year on Apple and other compatibility issues.pixel85 wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:48 pm I'm just glad that they didn't do GuitarRig 7 (yet). Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

In some strange way the only good thing about this is how bad it is. Currently I'm looking at Tracktions synth sales, Zynaptiqs out of the blue upgades to their products and package, and thinking these things will serve me better. Tracktions synths etc. are all resizable GUI, VST3, Apple Silicon and MPE compatible. All things I wish NI had taken care of years ago. So I have to ask myself why I would buy the Komplete 14 package when the only remotely interesting thing in it to me is Kontakt 7?Dalle wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:58 pm It’s kind of amazing how bad this is. My upgrade price from Ultimate to Ultimate is $399 with honesty hardly anything interesting in the upgrade, VS F-em, Bioteck, and Novum for around $140 at JRR shop, then Zynaptiq are offering a $99 upgrade from my old copy of Myriad to their suite of apps. So roughly $240 for three new synths, four new applications for audio, and all of them are updated for the latest technologies, VS NI promising things in the future.
Again, none of this is new, it's been their way forever, and it's always been a huge disappointment, because Reaktor is great, Kontakt is great, they make great products but their operating model is....

I'm also unsure if this is the moment to upgrade (even now or at the next summer sale) to Collectors (because Lores, Arkhis & Choir) or to drop Komplete entirely, sell my K13U - Licence, getting Guitar Rig alone, crossgrade from Ashlight to Light Trilogy and substitute all the others with different things...

NI approach toward their costumers who just recently bought the upgrade/update is unfair.
only thing they would offer you is TIME LIMITED 50% discount until Dec 31st, 2022.
which worth nothing as you could get same 50% off in their near 50% winter sale.
