I guess we will find out soon, but it doesn't mention resizable in the leaks, it says its HiDpi 'compatable' and I think only the new (Factory 2) content is actually in HD. I don't think it will resize anything existing, l (I think) it will just be a small box in the middle of a bigger holder.
I hope so! I really don't like the idea of my kontakt libraries I sell (however rudimentary) getting messed up in resizing. I hope there is a solution for that.

There is no mention of resizing anywhere I have seen, honestly, I think they have just added a new browser and made the new content GUIs higher resolution/full screen.

New browser, 2 new fx. Welcome to Kontakt 7
New browser on Kontakt but NOT massive x????!!!! :o  :x :x :x :x :x

EDIT: I know MX has a "new" browser, still not supporting 3rd party libraries, and now kontakt will get the same?

Unlike Arturia or UHE for example there is no coherence between NI products, probably all outsourced to different developers or legacy code issues...obviously they should all use a common browser/framework, but they don't and that may be a real problem for NI...the cots in time and resources to just 'modernise' (or even keep current) legacy products leaves little time for innovation it seems...dropping products and bolstering the bundle with 3rd party products seems to be the new sales model.

SLiC wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 8:05 am I suspect a lot of NI's 'coding' time is going in to M1 support- they have a roll out for that which isn't complete until 2023...
Apple owning experts in various threads have stated that devs coding to add M1 support doesn’t affect the development of new features.

I’ve seen Komplete 14 come out with zip new stuff I’m interested in.

Ableton Live’s beta releases list of new additions is wall to wall “MacOS this” and “MacOS” that.

This doesn’t prove anything of course, but it is slightly annoying for those of us not in thrall to Cupertino.
NI have lagged on every front, 64 bit support, resizable GUI's, VST3 support, etc. etc.
NI are a great company for a couple fantastic products, but they're absolutely the last in line with every OS update and new technological feature and have been for decades. Arturia updated for VST3 and resizable GUI's previous to Apple Silicon, so it didn't affect their development. They kept up a modern graphics framework in order to meet modern technologies and NI flatly did not. They're introducing and upgrading their line up accordingly. This has little to do with Cupertino and more to do with NI's been counters and at this point their tradition of pushing new product rather than improving their current products, hence their new interest in their Rompler "play" libraries.

Arturia aren't the only ones, I just picked up three VI's from Tracktion, all with resizable GUI's, VST3, MPE, and Apple Silicon support. Apple simply can't be used as an excuse for their laziness anymore, their track record proves that idea wrong.
Arturia uses Juce (see this
The response of V Collection instruments’ 4K interfaces is now quicker and smoother than ever thanks to an upgrade using the JUCE 6 framework.
https://www.arturia.com/company/press/p ... n8_2update )
so if and when Juce gets feature updates they reap the rewards, probably with very little effort on the part of their own devs needed. With other manufacturers that don't use Juce or other shared dev environments it may well be a different story.

On the JUCE site it mentions these companies that all use the product

Cycling 74' (Creators of Max MSP)
Intermorphic
Korg
M-Audio
Echo Audio
Arturia
Image Line
Music Tribe
Presonus
Open Labs
SWAM engine
Tracktion
PPMulator (PPMulator was a Raw Material Software audio plugin, now maintained by zplane)
Codex Digital

Muon Software
Sonalksis
Digital Juice
P Softhouse
Sonoma Wireworks
Soundminer

under Traktion it specifically says "JUCE was originally developed as part of the Tracktion audio workstation - still going strong since the year 2001!"

So Traktion and Arturia use JUCE and that explains why they got those features quicker.
That list above isn't exhaustive either as above that on the same page on the JUCE site it mentions case studies with UVI and ROLI so I guess there are a fair few more using it.

But, not every company has a codebase built around a third-party engine so it's much more dev intensive work for them to rewrite their stuff to work on other platforms or potentially rewrite their code to start using a third-party engine that does offer all that built in support for things like 4K resizable UI, VST3, M1 native etc.

Calling devs lazy for not providing features that the Arturia devs probably got as part of a JUCE update I suppose does help point fingers away from the M1 elephant in the room. Non devs might just say "well just rip out all the old stuff and do it all in JUCE" and that is doable, but it's dependent on a lot of things, not least how well documented the existing code is or how it leverages certain performance 'tricks' that a shared engine may not give you. Too many unknowns IMO to just call someone lazy and I wonder how all the NI sackings in 2019 play into this.

As someone mentioned earlier, NI do seem now to be more of a sales platform now than a developer.

I can still post as always on NI's forums...

well cause i stated this is ripping off customer, to not let customers use their LEGALLY paid software. about the Service Center issue. and they officially state they dunno if Absynth 5 is still activateable after Native Access 2, there you got your answer. they seem to f**k over people again. again for NI fanboys and defenders, i dont expect support for old vsts, if they dont work on windows 20 then thats it, i expect to use my software for what i paid for. and i still use NI stuff, i got Komplete 13, i just dont trust them anymore with such behaviour which gets worse every year so im cautious in using they software.

FWIW, Absynth 5 activation is working fine with Native Access 2, so don't think there is a problem in the long run, especially for Windows users like us. ;)

yep, i know :) but if they release Native Access 3 in maybe 2 years? (they stated Absynth 5 is still supported for 2 years!) then Absynth 5 might not be activateable anymore. just thinking on the long run not for 1 year or so.... who knows, yeah, it is always the same cycle.
