Yes, I am just afraid of that being a possibility. I also hope that it doesn't happen.seangm wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:25 pmI sincerely hope not, I like the Arturia products and don't want them sullied in the NI/PA/Izotope cesspool.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 7:14 am I was wondering who could be the next Soundwide partner and Arturia came to my mind. Will they do Black Friday sales on Komplete 14 yet though? The way I remember it, in years where there was a new version of Komplete released, there were no BF sales on Komplete. Which makes sense, considering that it just has been released, and people are in the "new and shiny" mood, and willing to pay full price.GLacayo wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:06 pm For those that can wait, Black Friday deals is the way to go to do any upgrades/updates to Komplete 14. Less than 3 months wait time - saves $$$.
I'd expect sales next year, earliest.

Arturia was already bought by a Venture Capital company in 2019... I don't see they being sold again anytime soon.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:28 pmYes, I am just afraid of that being a possibility. ...the comparison with u-he is ridiculous, that's true, but insinuating that Super 8, Monark, Form, Kontour, Razor, Rounds, Skanner XT and TRK-01 would be standalone synths, that could be compared to the synths in u-he's portfolio is ridiculous as well. These synths are very useful and mature, but they're still based on Reaktor and will most certainly not be developed any further. They might only get maintenance updates through Reaktor, but no new features or in some cases not even bug-fixing (but I might remember it incorrectly). They're also on a "enjoy them, while it lasts" basis in a way. It's true, that Reaktor synths have a very long life - most likely you can still work with ensembles from 20 years ago, which is brilliant, but if NI might consider pulling the plug on Reaktor (which has been considerated at times, as I was told), then they also might not look so good anymore.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:16 pm Indeed, comparison with u-he and other synth developers is ridiculous and pointless.

Just the ones which are in KVR's database, the other ones of course also received updates, but, NI doesn't keep an update history. And, the ones on KVR doesn't have to be complete either, but, I don't know that really. I have seen it on some products that the latest versions weren't listed.

Yup. This year will likely be 50% off single products. Mmmmmaybe Kontakt 7 too, not sure about that.chk071 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:37 pmWill they do Black Friday sales on Komplete 14 yet though? Alternative facts again? They released Massive X in 2019.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:58 pmUp until 8 years ago (when they last seemed interested in synthesizers).chk071 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:56 pmObviously.loachm wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:42 pm...the comparison with u-he is ridiculous, that's true, but insinuating that Super 8, Monark, Form, Kontour, Razor, Rounds, Skanner XT and TRK-01 would be standalone synths, that could be compared to the synths in u-he's portfolio is ridiculous as well. Agree. It's a huge task for NI to maintain these Reaktor-based synths. I was hoping for more standalone versions after Super 8, but it doesn't seem to be happening. The synths are otherwise great quality (not comparing with other synths). I use them through Komplete Kontrol only these days, no need to open Reaktor.loachm wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 6:42 pm...the comparison with u-he is ridiculous, that's true, but insinuating that Super 8, Monark, Form, Kontour, Razor, Rounds, Skanner XT and TRK-01 would be standalone synths, that could be compared to the synths in u-he's portfolio is ridiculous as well. programmers aren't robots is the only thing you need
ie they don't all work at the same speed.
that's life.
im gutted absynth is gone, but they're a business, if they don't make something you want, go elsewhere.
the things we have, use till they don't work, like you would any actual real item.
nothing lasts forever, not even the universe.
move on, get high, tune out.

Super 8 definitely needs some updates. It still has the (pretty major) bug that the semi note parameters sometimes skip a semi note, or change to two semi tones up or down even though you only set one.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 7:26 pmAgree. Monark is absolutely rock solid though, as was Form whenever I tried it.
