Kush Audio. Yeah, all I keep saying is: WOW! After a few days of intense demoing of their plugs recently, I picked up 7 of them on sale, which was still $600! But, man... It has made me totally rethink what I thought I knew about using compression, EQ, and saturation, and my previous use of plugins in general. Novatron, BLYSS, Clariphonic, Hammer... oh, and Goldplate is phenomenal. I do struggle a bit with finding the sweet spot with UBK-1, though. If you haven't tried them, they're pretty amazing. They're NOT your typical plugin. Gregory's video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0XGXz6SHco) on how to hear compression prompted me to explore more of Kush.

Clariphonic DSP MK II (v1.3.0 VST/VST3) users should be aware of a bug (which Kush confirmed) in the Right Clarity knob. It does not work correctly in Dual Mono mode when set to either Shimmer or Silk UNLESS the Left Clarity switch is engaged and set to either Shimmer or Silk as well. It also stays defective if the Left Clarity is engaged after the fact, until you move the Right knob, at which time the effect will "kick in". Not a deal breaker for me, but it can really mess with your balance if you don't work around it. No ETA on a fix.

Kush is a top 5 developer for me. Just wish they had m1 versions out for my Mac, but they’re go-to plugins on Windows where I mostly work.

I don't own a lot of Kush plugins, but yes they are very good, with a specific sound and workflow. I like the mixing philosophy of Gregory Scott, and you can hear this philosophy in his plugins...
But they are expensive, and not often updated.
I had some issues with TWK that took a long time to solve with an update, and it doesn't seem they will update their catalogue for being compatible with Apple Silicon before a long time. The Clariphonic's bug you are speaking about is here to stay quite a long time IMHO...
If they had better policy regarding updates, I would have buy now much more of their plugins...

Yep. Kush plugins are top of the line. Blyss is just amazing, on stereobus with just a small amount of it makes them shine, be it the great compressor or eq you touch. TWK, 485a.. oh my.

I'm going to check novatron later too. Great stuff.

I love their dynamics processors: Novatron, Silika, and AR-1 are just killer. Axis EQ is great for warming up guitars and other instruments with it's great saturation and gentle hi-frequency roll off. Blyss is great on busses. Omega TWK gets used as a soft clipper on anything with peaks that need shaving. Clariphonic, UBK, and the other Omegas can also find use. But for me, those 3 compressors are just absolutely indispensable.

Some of the best plugins in the world : their compressors are top notch. Full of character, excellent plugins all the time.

But I prefer when the developer or anyone from the team comes to talk about anything, their projects, their upcoming products, like the U-He, Vengeance, Voxengo or Tone2 (for example) team does : they mainly receive love, praise and direct feedback (new ideas ?) from users. Disguised advertisement always sounds wrong to me. Anyway, much love for Kush Audio.

I like the Kush stuff that I have, but I use Console 1 to mix so out of convenience I generally use Softube plugs a lot as they work inside Console 1.
Omega TWK - used regularly
Omega N - used regularly
Silika - my buss compressor
AR-1 - nice on the buss too or when you want that tube sound
UBK - don’t use it much, will maybe start experimenting with it more, the density is nice, kind of fiddly to set up.

And a question for anyone with experience with both Omega A and Omega 458A: how do they differ in high frequency treatment when pushed moderately/not quite to the point of full blown distortion?

Twk works great on bass.

I have a few of their/his plugins. I rarely mix my stuff but when I do I just subscribe to Kush for a month or two, do the job and cancel the sub. Works better for me that way.

Here A does not get to be used almost at all. 458A is completely different if I remember, it'll accelerate transients but cut bass off a bit. Thats what I use it usually in drum buss for example.
