I love Plates of Legend Nebula library by Cupwise. I like Transatlantic plate too but nothing can touch my Nebula verbs, it's really not even close. Abbey Road plates is good too, so the ones I like are all I R based.

But every time I compare my Nebula verbs against straight Algo verbs, it's just not even really close.
I finally do have a couple Algo verbs I love and that Liquid Sonics CRP, and the new Savant Audio Quantec verb for rooms.

I've actually cleared the cob-webs and started messing with H-Reverb again. Not that I ever stopped, it's just been a while. It still holds it's own and does that natural sounding acoustic space quite well.

And yeah, I know it's not a dedicated plate reverb, but it still does that thing quite well too. Though it lacks some of the metallic qualities you'd get from something like Abbey Road Plates. Not everyone likes that sonic quality though.

It does lack a shimmer feature, but you can always throw in a pitch plugin. Though not everything needs to shimmer.

Did you try Arturia Plate-140? Sounds quite good!

Really love the Valhalla Plates! :tu: :tu: :tu:

Dynamic Plate Reverb (Physical Audio).

Sounds so bloody good. I have yet to hear anything better.

Honestly, I like Soundtoys Little Plate, it’s dark, but that’s easy to adjust.
I like the Arturia one too.
I honestly haven’t gone on a big plate reverb quest though, so my experience is limited. I’m happy with those 2. I have Valhalla Plate and use it sometimes, it’s a nice reverb, just doesn’t sound really like a plate to me for some reason, it’s not as smooth as the other ones. I like the others on drums for instance, but not Valhalla - that’s just my preference though.

Valhalla Plate is my favorite

Valhalla Plate, easy. Maybe the most underrated verb plugin out there. Always feels like people are sleeping on this one...imo it's far beyond the competition.

Same :tu: Also a fan of SoundToys, but Valhalla gets the most use by far between the two.

I only like transatlantic plate, and then "fake" sounding algorithmic plate verbs. IRs and plates that sound too real have a papery, noisey sounding midrange that I don't like (although I should experiment more with eq'ing the send when using plates). Abbey Roads is decent sometimes.

For "fake" sounding plate verbs that sound really smooth, without all the noise I've been really liking Anwida Spatio Plate lately.

Transatlantic adds a 3D sparkle that, applied very minimally, is something no other reverb I’ve tried can do. It’s a little like magic pixie dust. But it’s such a resource hog (Audiogridder helps).

I’ll be doing a demo of Lustrous Plates before BF sales (since I get substantial loyalty discounts).
