I think this would be a good deal for people who don't already have the added PA and Izotope plugins. Personally, I have all the PA and Izotope plugins I want right now so the main draw is really Kontakt 7 and the new factory library. I will probably wait for either one of the big sales, or for not having Kontakt 7 to become a limiting factor in sample library choice.
I feel like the Komplete bundle format contributes to NI deprecating products. They need to keep adding new products to keep people upgrading, but it would be hard to put the price up each time to pay for new devs to work on maintaining and updating the new product. End result: they have more work that needs doing each time they add something but the same number of people to do the work.

It's probably about time for the Native Update Plan, right? ;P

Notable in fact that despite their sort of subscription offering Komplete Now plus the Soundwide branding, there's no hint of this upsetting the status quo for permanent licenses.dannyhawaii wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:09 pm It's probably about time for the Native Update Plan, right? ;P

Wouldn't count on that. Oddly enough I bought Komplete Care 05 back in the day, NI's attempt at what Bitwig currently do, a subscription or update plan. They failed miserably to release anything in 05, and had to extend it and give everyone a copy of Massive if I recall correctly.noiseboyuk wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:54 pmNotable in fact that despite their sort of subscription offering Komplete Now plus the Soundwide branding, there's no hint of this upsetting the status quo for permanent licenses.dannyhawaii wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:09 pm It's probably about time for the Native Update Plan, right? ;P
I 100% think within the next year or so we see a Komplete update plan or subscription model beyond the ridiculous thing they offer now, it fits in with their plans 17 years ago, and by now they may be able to offer upgrades in a more timely fashion, at least Expansion Packs.

More like 2-3 years... just going Apple Silicon native alone is going to take another year.machinesworking wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:59 pm I 100% think within the next year or so we see a Komplete update plan or subscription model beyond the ridiculous thing they offer now, it fits in with their plans 17 years ago, and by now they may be able to offer upgrades in a more timely fashion, at least Expansion Packs.![]()

Actually yes, if by a "Native Update Plan" a person could buy Komplete 14 CE and be eligible to get all interim NI products that emerge between versions 14 and 15.dannyhawaii wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:09 pm It's probably about time for the Native Update Plan, right? ;P
Essentially, dear God NI, just give us an option of a subscription plan that has all the the typical Komplete CE content as it comes out.
Please let some of us stop playing the silly game of "normal" prices vs sales prices, vouchers and all the worn out selling tactics.

$49.. but that's a maybe for me. so little changes year after year w/NI. i only want updates to the core things i use.. don't need another 50gb sound library for contact or whatever.m-ac wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 10:40 pm I mean, if it was £99 per year, I'd be up for a subscription option.

Same here. Give me a free-to-pick-Subscription shop that doesn't cost me 700 for stuff i didn't want nor use... every two year.
Gimme my Massive X, my three effects, guitar rig, some kontakt libraries and keep it updated. I'd pay, but i also want to pick!

Wondering if Kontakt 7 will reduce crashes of some of my instruments.
Is there a list of improvements made on K7?
