It's not groundbreaking in any way that I've noticed. It's a totally fine digital reverb though. Flexible enough for most mixing tasks.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

So, it’s not Blackhole, obviously, and it was designed for other task - mixing, not for never ending FX clouds…

Pro-R can makes spaces that invisible in the mix, tame any frequency you want to be tamed in visual way. I hear this “metallic stuff” in any other reverb without post processing. Pro-R have all the tools built in.

So, it’s really good reverb for mixing tasks, it doesn’t have beatiful or characterful sound, it’s like tofu, but I bet there are many cases when you need it, nothing more. It’s just works in the mix when you brave enough to tweak couple of knobs inside…

I look forward to a ProR2 some day. I’ll try it just like I tried ProR. So far there’s only been one reverb that just works instantly for my ears for most reverb needs I have: Cinematic Rooms Pro. TaiChi fills in most of the rest, and then a few eccentric / specialty reverbs.

I found R4 and Nimbus far better than ProR, as well. And now they’re even pretty much free.

Reverb is very subjective. I don’t like Valhalla Room either, or even Valhalla Vintage Verb very much. Etc. But I adore Valhalla Delay!

Nothing. Just good digital reverb. But not anything special.

The GUI is very pretty.

Decay Rate EQ and output EQ are indeed nice features. But afaik they are static bands, not dynamic, unless you were talking about another feature? Acon Digital Verberate had those same EQs with similar display but less bands even earlier. Whole idea of EQing reverb goes of course way back. Evolution, not revolution.

Can't speak for Mr. P, but I thought the way they integrated the decay time multipliers into the product is a novel piece of design, nicely engineered too. I still like the reverb itself.
