I've only found MEqualiser so far, ok for static sound design but a bit artifact-ey for me if modulated.

My bad. Didn't read properly. Yep, I have used it only static way as well. It was actually first third party eq that I started to use beside Cubase (essentials 5, I guess). Then I bought MDynamicEq. Nowdays, I have way too many eqs. But for the harmonics I actually remember Melda's ones only. So, no other recommendatios.

It's a very good EQ for sure, especially a free one. If I hadn't tried to modulate it for an effect then I'd be perfectly fine with it. Thanks.Paasi wrote: Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:36 am My bad. Would be interesting to hear which one you will finally choose.

I have found Spectre to be pretty cool and really easy to use.

OP is looking for something that can boost or cut a whole sequence of frequencies, rather than just one band. These would normally be called filterbanks or something, rather than harmonics, which is why many of us got the impression it's an overdriving/distorting EQ (like Spectre or Volcano) that's being asked for.
The apulSoft one seems pretty cool too!
I never felt like the Melda one was inadequate for this kinda thing, even when modulating. But maybe I wasn't paying enough attention. It's been a while...
Some very similar sounds can be achieved from a different workflow with a modal resonator, like this one: https://www.tritik.com/product/moodal/

Please report that to MeldaProduction, via its Contact form, with the steps needed to create the problem so that it can be investigated.GaryG wrote: Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:51 amIt's (MeldaProduction's MEqualizer) a very good EQ for sure, especially a free one. Well there you go, tried to replicate the glitches and it behaved perfectly, even modulating the band frequency at 8Hz with lots of harmonics was perfectly smooth. Before I'd get thumps that triggerd Reapers automute occasionally or just little clicks. Must have been the specific project, other tracks loading the cpu or something.DarkStar wrote: Tue Sep 13, 2022 8:53 pmPlease report that to MeldaProduction, via its Contact form, with the steps needed to create the problem so that it can be investigated.GaryG wrote: Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:51 amIt's (MeldaProduction's MEqualizer) a very good EQ for sure, especially a free one. Thanks for your help.
Anyway, MEqualizer will do me for now, will keep an eye out for apQualizr2 at some point.
