Is there a drum app to rule them all? Cinematic drums and non-pop/rock drums.

You might get even more relevant suggestions if you posted this in the Instruments forum rather than here in the Hosts forum.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

I want to add dont buy XO drums thinking they are going to be adding new features or anything. Many like myself have been sending them feature requests for years with no additions to the plugin to date. Last update was June 2020

PercX by Auddict looks interesting. Just wish they had a demo. I may take a flier on it if no one warns me off...

I would look at sequencer part sound part and fx part separately. For sequencing Beat Scholar is a winner. It has its own sounds, but if you drive Atlas with it, you got a perfect couple. Fx is the task of my DAW… Tools like Atlas simple make any sample on your drive accessible in an easy way…

I am pretty much 100% with UJAM drums now. The new BM Berserk is particularly good for what we do but there is a vast range of options - 12 in the Beatmaker series and another 6 in the Virtual Drummer series. You can use the patterns that comes with it or trigger the pads with your own MIDI. Or you can combine both by dragging and dropping a pattern into Studio One, where it will become a MIDI clip. From there you can add extra bits or get rid of things that are annoying you.
They work particularly well with Studio One, as Ujam worked with Presonus to give them a few extra features. e.g. It knows the name of the patterns and labels them in the piano roll - Verse 1, Verse 2, Fill 1, Fill 2, etc. - which makes it easier to build your arrangements. They all have demos so you can go through and find which sounds best for your needs. I use BM Vice on all my 80s covers and for our Electro-Industrial stuff we use BM Void, BM Nemesis and the new BM Berserk. We've still got Battery on a few things but I am gradually replacing it.
