Hi, I got Cubase 11 Pro last July for the price of the Artist version. Now there is an upgrade to version 12 for 100 €.

I was wondering if Steinberg has ever had similar discounts on updates as there are for full versions? Like once in a year...

I'm in no hurry to upgrade, I could wait for a discount campaign on that update (12 Pro)... but are there any ever?

Yes, they have sales. Not a few weeks after the release of a new version though...

Could be a while, I guess, considering that version 12 was released several months after the usual upgrade schedule. I would guess, end of summer, or autumn.

No guarantees, of course. Just guess work.

the question apparently is do they discount that 99 dollar upgrade to the next number. or to the .5 which they may have decided to quit doing. I've never seen it. What they do do is offer it for free if you bought the previous v. at a later than x date, or a grace period. Right now they're promoting Nuendo 12 on that page, get 11 now and 12 for free. If you aren't seeing upgrade for recent buyers, it's too late. I honestly don't think there's anything Black Friday about this.

DonSantiago, in 2021 a similar deal like now was in july. I think I paid 300 € for the Cubase 11 Pro back then (now it's 347,40 €).
