Hello i am looking for an help on order to understand how is produced some music.
Itns not an easy task but might be interesting and delightful
In this video you see a pianist that use some tool to have music played in loop itself from part she play live...or it seems so...
This is the video, there are 4 pieces and in each of them there is some of this manipulation.
I see she use something that looks like an Akai mpd32, and a laptop.
So how you think she process the sound?the akai?and.how this akai is used?

I see the MDP32 clearly at 1:50, only USB is connected, no audio. It's just a pad controller. Do you see her hitting it? I don't. But I have only been skipping randomly through the long video.
The "Loop Station" by BOSS is a pedal that does this kind of things. They have multiple models, and other manufacturers likely have similar things.
The concept is rather easy. It records while you hold the pedal pressed with your foot. When pedal is released it plays the recording in a loop. Press the pedal again and it records in overdub mode.
All is probably explained in detail in dozens of videos on YouTube. You can find them now you know what it's called and what to search for.
Btw, this particular performance could also have been done with a "simple" delay with 100% feedback and very long delay time.

my idea was also this, the use of a loop station (i don't know how it works so can't be sure), which is somehting i would like to learn and introduce in my music. But after listening and listening, i am not so sure, because at times it seems that this "loops" change on its own..like if another loops start onm its own. So i start think more to something like ableton live triggered from the musician to play diffrent parts. For this same reason i find it more difficult to be a delay..which was the really 1st thing i thought about
But all this music playing on its own seems complex for just a loop station or a delay
I can see a pc on the floor, and something like a cable that comes out from her trousers... i don't know what this could be for
I see her going to touch somehting in the akai, very quicly...what is the use of it then?
p.s.
i notice that in some part, it seems like tempo get lost..like if 2 very similar tempo mix together for a little while and then the tempo return steady
