For me Fyler 1.0.5 crashes on usage sometimes. Upon a crash everything is lost that has been changed or edited between multiple crashes, to preserve anything I have to close it manually before it crashes.

I have to point out that it only crashes on performing an action not by time, by itself.

I noticed two more bugs: CTRL + O for opening a new window does not work. And if you Right Click a folder for locating the folder in the Folder tree it displays the wrong shortcut (Ctrl-F) instead of (Ctrl-L).

Edit:
As of the new 1.0.5 Fyler update I encountered the following:
- Folders First and Folders Last in the Options are reversed
- The overall sorting of Filenames is messed up, folders/files with _ come after z which is unusal etc.
- When saving Column Presets to an existing one Fyler Crashes (this is replicable)
- Sometimes when Fyler crashed it isn't launchable anymore, even if there's no more process running in the Task-Manager, only a reboot seems to help
- Some columns like "Info" stay empty, even though sometimes they load fine on the same files that contain additional Info

I am sorry for these bugs, which will be fixed shortly.
I do not understand how you reported a v1.0.5 bug on September 7th, when it was built on September 8th (late afternoon European time). Can you check Settings / About for the build date? It should be Version 1.0.5 (Built on Sep 8 2022).

I rewrote something in Fyler v1.0.5 that was responsible for random crashes. I also realized the sorting issue, which appeared because of sorting speed optimizations. I'll have a fix soon.

Rapid Composer 4.4.3 is still crashing Cubase. If I have an instance of RC in a project and nothing else, completely empty, and I close the Project to start another, Cubase crashes. If I Disable RC, (put it to sleep, when trying to setup a template with RC), it crashes Cubase.

A new update of Fyler fixes all your reported bugs. Please download v1.0.6 with the following fixes:

• "m4v" file extension added to video extractor
• Wrong sorting order fixed (bug introduced in previous update)
• The popup help (over files) displays only 10 pieces of metadata
• Fixed non-working Ctrl-O
• Fixed missing Path and wrong file type for mounted drives
• The right shortcut is displayed for "Locate in folder tree"
• Fixed crash when overwriting a columns preset
• Stability fixes

Is this on Windows or on macOS? Which version of Cubase Pro?
Will you describe the steps to reproduce this?

I did the following after downloading and installing RC v4.4.3 on Windows:
- opened Cubase Pro 12
- create new project (Create Empty)
- right-click over the tracks area and "Add Instrument Track"
- select Synth/RapidComposer (the VST3 plug-in, but I tried the VST2 plug-in too)
- Add Track
- open the RC editor window (I also tried not opening it)
- close project (No to "Do you want to save...")
- click on New Project...
Result: no crashes

Please reinstall RC v4.4.3 so that you use the same binary as I did in this test.
I have a v4.5 beta version with a new UI engine in the plug-ins (the same as used in the standalone version). You can try that if that works better.

In the current version, it was not promised that the Mutator will analyse melody notes and create similar melodies. This can be done maybe in a next update, if there is demand for that. The current version is able to do lots of different modifications on MIDI sequences, like these:

• regenerate the rhythm using 6 rhythm generator algorithms from RapidComposer, plus a new one that preserves exact note and rest lengths, suitable for modern genres
• use rhythm from another MIDI file
• slice a pattern, then rearrange slices randomly
• displace notes randomly, randomize note positions and/or lengths
• extend, widen, randomize chord voicings, replace the chord progression
• change the beat positions to change the feel
• replace or randomize accents
• increase/decrease polyphony
• randomize pitches
• for monophonic phrases: change the contour, add connecting notes.

Clicking on randomly here and there will not always get good results. Without knowing exactly what each option means it is difficult to use MIDI Mutator.

Current Version of rapid composer 4.4.3 crashes Cubase 12.0.40 about 25-50% when RC is first opened in previous projects.

Once RC is opened without crashing, it does not crash. What seems to increase the chance of crashing is opening a project, then open RC, then close that project and open a 2nd project. Once you open RC on this 2nd project it crashes cubase almost 50% of the time.

This occurs regardless how many tracks or VSTs are used. This on a windows 10 computer.

Issue with Add track in RC v4.5.0b3 . I had created a new composition with 2 tracks. The first track has an instance of Kontakt with Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra and I had tried a few instruments and finally settled on a Flute Ensemble. I added some variatiions to the track like simplify phrase, spread out chord notes, limit note range, join notes and dropped a Markov Melody Generator on the track. I duplicated that track and cleared the existing phrases and dropped String Staccato Generator on the second track. I tried changing the Kontakt instrument to Violins but it changes the first track instance. So I decide to remove the second track and add it back. When I click Add track, RC just disappears and I have to restart RC and use Open Composition to start over but I cannot add a track now. Seems like the composition file is corrupt.
Has anyone else bumped into this where you cannot add a new track?

the problem started when you duplicated the track.. it also duplicated the same instance of Kontact. so both tracks were pointing to the same instance, but, they were in a different memory location.. and that is why it corrupted the composition file and crashed.

It's the same problem if you were to drag a Kontact instrument from the browser to the track, then do it again to another track.

When using multi instrument VST, always add from the track instrument drop down. From that you can either choose a new instance, or the correct same instance..

There was a warning message added when doing this from the browser, but, the same warning message needs to be added for duplicating a track..
