Filter Force is a dual creative filter bank, centered around modulating high quality virtual analog Filters.
21 Filter Characteristics
Filter Force sports two filter slots, each of which can be used with 21 filter types. You'll know many of these from Odin 2. There's also other more whacky filters like asymmetrical band passes, combs, all passes and a formant filter.
Four Modulation Sequencers
You'll find four completely independent modulation sequencers to modulate any parameter controlled by a knob via drag and drop modulation. You can also cross-modulate sequencer parameters like speed and amplitude.
True Stereo Modulation
Apart from the sequencers there's also a stereo modulation source. This can be used to for example offset the filters for each channel. What's more fun though is that the sequencers run completely independently for left and right channels. So you can have each channel run at different speeds or amplitudes, or offset the phase for each channel.
Randomize Modulation
There's the option to randomize the modulation for each cycle of a sequencer, resulting in fun and unpredictable behavior.
Various Run Modes
There's various run modes available, letting you sync the sequencers to your DAW, run freely or trigger on MIDI key. This allows you to envelope shape any instruments in your chain.
I've just set the price for the full version to 29€ (or regional equivalents, i.e. currently 29 USD).
You can also grab the free version from website here.
The free version is limited to 2 of the 21 filter characteristics. You also only have two of the four sequencers available and there are no presets.
Filter Force had a somewhat rocky launch last week. If you tried the free version and experienced a very laggy user interface, please try it again now!
If you experience any issue whatsoever, do not hesitate to contact me!
Have fun everyone!
