Voted. Was fun, as usual. I was surprised (and pleased) by the variety of tracks. There seems to be a movement away from the EDM and techno stuff towards more composed music -- maybe it's the synth, but it was a fun month.

Serious, Techno not composed... sigh. Techno is the same work of putting the cliche elements of the genre together (aka composing) than any other kind of acoustic event stream.

...though, I do believe most of us have a way of understanding what ontrackp was saying, I'd like to believe!

I think he was talking about the melodic/harmonic simplicity inherent in most of the genre, despite the brilliant borrowings of some outstanding tracks. In any genre there is a place for composing, not in all genres this place is occupied by someone... Also, "work of putting the cliche elements of the genre together" in my opinion refers more to the arrangement, composing is rather the creation of something new, including genres and cliches)
Edit 1. I would even like to be wrong and be overpersuaded. Again, speaking about the whole genre, and not about individual outstanding compositions.
