I bought one off Reverb some months ago. Still didn't take the time to dive into it.

Good for scaring the cats though.

yes...
it's a good one...
but also special...
got it from the first batch (2017 or so?) and have to admit not to have played that much with it

if you do have the option to borrow it for a few days, you could see if it fits your wishes
...because...again: it's special

I had one for a while.

It takes some work to get it to fit in a mix. It likes to dominate the spectrum (and throw some sub-audio-rate junk in the signal too), and can have strong resonances. There's not a lot of synthesis possibilities onboard. The CV control doesn't really follow any particular rules either, it's more like CV influence than control.

There's nothing like it though, super satisfying to play and I miss mine. It's built like a tank but despite that and the possibly screaming shrieking distortion, there are some real subtleties where it comes to playing it. I just wouldn't want to use it all the time in my recordings. (Unlike the Strega which I have a much easier time finding roles for.)

I got one! Arriving tomorrow. Also, going to check out a Strega at Make Noise on Saturday. It would be awhile before I could think of getting one but I'm really curious about it since I have an 0-Coast.

It’s so a strange thing! You learn to love it. :-)

It's not out of tune, it's xenharmonic! :D
