I became concerned about the devloper after his most recent email. He said he discovered a backdoor into math or something, which felt like a Pi moment to me. Maybe I'm reaching.

I like them and use them. I pick and choose from the catalogue because I got into Voxengo later when I had a lot of other tools. I have about 8 or so. They are unique and sound great.

I've accumulated a bunch over the last few years. They're among my best mixing plugins along w/ Fabfilter and Sonnox and some one off's from Leapwing and others. What I like is that functionally some of them do things that no other plugin I have does. Shinechilla for example, that thing is amazing, mysterious to a non-technical noob like myself, so I have to be careful w/ it when I'm tweaking stuff around but I love what it can do to a sound, as one example.
I feel like maybe there's some slight redundancy b/t certain plugins, so I have around a third or a half of his total catalogue, I don't need every compressor and so forth, although I have about half of them anyways. Soundwise I think they rival anything, though they do tend to be heavier cpu munchers than most. Luckily you can lessen oversampling so somewhat of a moot point for most of them.

I'd agree with thatvitocorleone123 wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 4:09 pm I'm also not a fan of their UX, though it's better than Melda.

I've been using Voxengo plugins nearly 20 years and never regretted it. Reliable, stable, up to date. I can open projects I did 15 years ago, and Voxengo plugins (current releases) are the only ones that run. The rest have compatibility issues.

Same. They are great. Like I said before though, since they proved the existence of God I just place them randomly across my mix and wait 7 days for the mastered version.Vitaly wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:58 pm I've been using Voxengo plugins nearly 20 years and never regretted it. It was more than that. He claimed to have proven the existence of God. Which is fine. As long as he keeps making quality plugins, Aleksey is aok by my. But yeah, seems to be a pretty radical change in him for the comms I have seen over the years.kevinsparks wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 4:52 pm I became concerned about the devloper after his most recent email. TEOTE is very good. I bought it shortly before getting the premium subscription in Luftrum's charity auction a couple of years ago (great timing eh?)
Aside from that, even with the subscription I mostly only use his free plugins -- Correlometer, Span, MSED. I do occasionally use a few of the other plugins, but I would not say I'm really getting my money's worth from the subscription. But I don't regret it either, because it was a charity auction.
(Originally wrote something else here that didn't sound quite the way I had hoped, and could have been hurtful. I'm having trouble rephrasing it. To put it in as simple terms as I can, I don't have a problem with Voxengo. I did have to ask myself whether I did, but in retrospect I was probably interpreting things wrongly. I don't think that should influence anyone else's choices.)

Here's what he actually published. I find it quite amusing that people are calling him crazy for this. It's certainly not. I'd be willing to bet that most people didn't even read what he had to share, nor would they understand it if they did. Ignorance is bliss.

What has your statement got to do with what is quoted above? I may be wrong but it looks like you are implying I'm saying he is crazy, didn't read what he said and didn't understand it leaving me blissfully ignorant of the real situation. Apologies if I'm wrong.Erik_Lucas wrote: Sun Sep 18, 2022 6:07 pmhttps://github.com/avaneev/prvhash#proo ... engineeredmorelia wrote: Sun Sep 18, 2022 12:53 amIt was more than that. Nope. Didn't mean to imply you were calling him crazy. Just seeing lots of chatter about it. Used your comment as a launchpad for my opinion on the matter.morelia wrote: Sun Sep 18, 2022 8:01 pmWhat has your statement got to do with what is quoted above? Oh, well, thanks for your support (those who support). The "questionable" thing I've published on GitHub is what it is, cincerely and from the heart, I do not regret it. Also, there was no "security incident", it was my paranoia. Unfortunately, sometimes, but rarely I become sick, it was so for 11 years straight, and nobody noticed until I made a confession myself (after those well-known global events). I've recently also removed all featured artist pages as to not harm anyone's reputation.
