i think the paradox is where you made it all political and no one else did

I hope you're aware that I could write the exact same thing to you. Why do you attack me because I say that there are some stupid political agitators around here, who won't keep their shit to HPC? That's where you should go if you want to talk about politics, not the general talk.briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:40 pm Ah yes, it's totally on me that you typed that nonsense. If you don't have a valid response, or do not want to fight, simply stop typing.

I think it's something different when you criticize that there's political talk in the general forums, and a political message. Or you may point me to my political message. I just said that calling companies in this business "vulture capitalists" is like something from Marx' books. Which it is.vurt wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:42 pm i think the paradox is where you made it all political and no one else did![]()
It's not the only political thing I read here on a regular base. People just can't keep it to HPC. It's not possible for them.

You can and do type a lot of logically errant things, yes I'm well aware. I have plenty of valid responses and I'm not crying about starting fights.chk071 wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:43 pmI hope you're aware that I could write the exact same thing to you. You could of course simply stop making things needlessly political if you don't like things getting needlessly political, but that would require actual self-reflection.

You are wrong, because I didn't make things political. I criticized that there are people here who can't keep the political crap to HPC. Where they can deal with their sort.briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:48 pmYou can and do type a lot of logically errant things, yes I'm well aware. well, i don't want to argue here, it's a plug in thread.chk071 wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:47 pmI think it's something different when you criticize that there's political talk in the general forums, and a political message. but you can give an example "people talking about vulture capitalism" without the judgement "leftie nonsense" then you would have been less hypocritical. ie complaining about a thing while doing the thing

Maybe. But, I can't think of other examples really. It's always something in that direction.vurt wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:50 pmwell, i don't want to argue here, it's a plug in thread.chk071 wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:47 pmI think it's something different when you criticize that there's political talk in the general forums, and a political message. It's especially ridiculous when you consider the size of any company in this business... there's really better examples of "vulture capitalism" out there. It's laughable really. In my one horse town, there are dozens of companies which are as big as the biggest players in the audio software business. People should, sorry, get a grip.
You probably must have noticed the drama in every NI thread here by now.

The pathological lack of self-awareness here and the complete lack of logic is absolutely stunning. Peak Dunning-Kruger has been reached, and I'm done messing up this thread any more.

I'm not a "king" in any manner or meaning. As I have some ideas that "kings" historically were just the strongest of the thieve gangs. So, do not really like that paradigm.briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:25 pmHarsh?Aleksey Vaneev wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 10:17 amThat was too harsh, by the way, and totally out of place.briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 7:26 am I think of him as my perfect king, who makes cool plugins.

This isn't the place for that discussion. There's a thread in HPC if you want to continue. Thanks.D.H. Miltz wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 5:09 pm This isn't the place for that discussion. There's a thread in HPC if you want to continue. Thanks.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Okay, I agree with you about kings historically. I wasn't being literal with the term. I just meant that I think you're really cool, using slang.Aleksey Vaneev wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 5:55 pmI'm not a "king" in any manner or meaning.
