Piano tracks weren't lined up perfectly and that was fine for a human feel. Now, though, everything's changed. Most, if not all, music I hear is rigidly tight. There's no need for soft quantize anymore.
Gotta disagree... Music that is just on the grid can be too robotic. Even though note length can help, I think an element or real groove and feel while playing is more enjoyable to listen.

And importantly, as with not over compressing the life out of something, gives a track more longevity and replay value.

I hate that in Live, MIDI clips are by default set to loop mode. I turn it off over and over and over. There is a workaround with Live Enhancement Suite, but I tried that, and it caused me other problems. People have complained about this default for years--that there was no way in Live to switch it.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Well... I'm not sure who he meant with his comment, but, if you take a look at the frequency of these threads, then it's pretty damn clear that someone suffers from severe chronical boredom, and self-display addiction.

And, no, this can't be solved by simply ignoring the threads. At some point, you'd have to ignore 90% of the bullshit here, and, what's the point in that? You rather will stop visiting the site instead. and, that can't be it really, because of some bored, uninspired, and selfish individuals who spoil it for everyone else.
Sounds like me. :hihi: :hihi:

Well... everyone is entitled to an opinion and that's completely fine. GUI and interface and workflow, sound all somewhat subjective. Gotta love people having an opinion and point of view, a different workflow, different ways to use tools, it can be informative and show new ways to work, and without it there is no chat here.

Where you really need to ignore 95% percent are the threads like 'can you warm something with digital plugins', where bro science and factually incorrect information runs rampant. Now there you really need to watch out. :hihi:

Oh another thing I'd remove are the floating windows in cubase. I would much prefer a plain background window, than having to arrange sub windows to cover desktop icons. It also maybe needs better multi screen options for display.

You assume that there is a real interest in the topic, and that the OP is actually interested in hearing opinions. That's not the case.

Ah, true... It's the phantom thread starter...

I just had it down as a harmless DAW chat thread. Maybe something of interest to read.

First off, I post a few threads, three to four weeks apart, some of them are specific whilst some are more general. I have 227 threads created since December 1st 2017, which averages 45 threads per year, divided by 12 months equals 3.75 threads per month on average whilst last year I didn't create any threads for 6 months and just mainly observed the forum. You clearly should consider doing the same, in taking a break from forums for several months...

I don't allow myself to get bored, I'm always doing something and entertaining people on forums is just one of them. There are extremely helpful people who not only help me develop stuff for this community but actually support me financially as well, and that wouldn't have happened if I didn't show what I could do.

Does it matter if people think I have an interest in what they have to say ? Well unless someone asks specifically, then probably not. I ask a question and people respond. I give a life experience and people give there's. I provide interfaces for free and dozens of people download them, do I ask to be thanked, no I don't.

I like to keep my threads free of trolls, and personal attacks.
