I just noticed today that you posted almost as much on the official Vital forum except with a kind of "So long and thanks for all the fish" vibe. As someone who is in a similar situation, I have to agree with every point you made. i feel for the guy, but he really needs to, at the very least, post progress reports more often than he currently does.Teksonik wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 2:20 pm
Well if you feel like having to beta test Vital so the free users can get the same version without any effort is a reward then more power to you.
But what is happening is that people who purchase the Plus version now get a plugin that hasn't been updated in over a year and a half and still contains bugs and issues. There are still reports coming in to this day.
I purchased the "In the Mix" early access version but that only gained us the Plus version. I've been looking for a reason to update to the Pro version but paying to be an unpaid beta tester is not a sufficient reason for me.
I realize that Vial underwent a total rewrite and life can get in the way especially for one man operations but the slow pace of development has caused me to move Vital out of my working folder.
Anyway my point is that 1.5.1 is not likely to be a final release version since once the full user base gets their hands on it there will almost certainly be more bugs and issues discovered. The slow pace of development causes one to wonder how long those bugs and issues will take to address.
I like Matt and he's obviously a very talented coder but I think he bit off more than one man can efficiently chew with the Windows, Linux, and Mac M1/Non M1 versions.

With Vital 1.5.3 the CLAP version opens with a huge window ( Bitwig Studio 4.3.8 )... the VST3 version is fine.

Yep... released now.
(If anyone knows how to set up scripts for the mac installer so the user can choose which formats to install, like he does with the windows version (I will never need au or clap versions on mac), please show him how to do so...)
thanks in advance.

New Vital 1.5.3 instances open as big empty pink rectangle, I think it's the "init" theme... any clue on how to restore to the default theme?
Windows, all VST/VST3/CLAP and standalone versions....
Thanks,
Mario

Thanks. Looks like no synths are supporting that amazing feature.

Found something: every time the INIT skin is chosen, the vital.skin file in %appdata%\vital is no longer overwritten even if I manage to select another skin, but if I delete that vital.skin file I'm luckily able to get back to the default skin.mabian wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 9:47 pm New Vital 1.5.3 instances open as big empty pink rectangle, I think it's the "init" theme... any clue on how to restore to the default theme?

Surge and the u-he CLAP betas of ACE, Diva and Hive support poly-modulation. And in the next week or so, there will be new u-he betas of those 3 plus Bazille.perpetual3 wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 10:14 pm Thanks. Looks like no synths are supporting that amazing feature.
