I would like to see Reggae kits and sequences, Chillout, Rap, etc. We have only EDM content.
Also, where is "half speed" function in sequencer? I tried to make half speed by BPM function, but had problems with sync.![]()

Of course, I am not suggesting using random beats in your songs. Just for inspiration for patterns, like a hi-hat pattern, or a percussion pattern might sound cool, then you can add in all other elements. It's a useful way to get unexpected results - happy accidents!fisherKing wrote: Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:57 pmnah, i like making my own beats. besides, am pretty random on my own...Biome_Digital wrote: Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:37 pmI find them useful with the randomise feature. The randomizer is very useful. Tried the MIDI OUT feature inside Logic 10.6 to sequence my TAL DRUM but that didnt work as advertised. Maybe because logic 10.6 is a bit strange with midi out from plugins, maybe it can be done in 10.7, anyone can confirm?
I found it weak sounding compared with TAL-Drum with the same (own) samples loaded. Very noticeable. To me at least.
Random kit creating is also cool to have (I have a lib of around 200K drumsamples), it would take some clicks, but there will be a nice one after a while

I use MIDI out flawlessly in Bitwig. I just place the plugin right after the Atlas or route the midi use the note receiver plugin. Never noticed any weakness in the sound compared to other drum modules including TAL.

Yeah I think Logic is the culprit, AudioUnit specifications. I think Logic 10.7 has updated the AudioUnit framework. But I am still on Catalina. On the sound; did you compare the same samples loaded in both plugins? Maybe I am going crazy, but I found TAL Drum more in your face sounding in some sort of way. I am not a plugindoctor and dont use any graphs orso, it could be I am wrong, therefore I said that it sounded a bit weak to my ears with the same samples loaded.

Nope. Not when I match the gain.

There is a reverse button in the advanced panel.
Krovatin wrote: Sat Sep 24, 2022 10:14 pm Still, nobody needs "half speed" function?
Also often "kick and snare only" function would be useful. And reverse function, "top loop only" also.

Half speed would be great. And am I missing something or is it not possible to program quintuplet and septuplet swing with the grid?

In Ableton 11 I created a project that I can drag in an Atlas group from and have all of the audio split to different audio tracks. I also have a drum rack mapped to Atlas so that I can use the pads on my controller (the SL MkIII pads work best with Ableton drum racks).Krovatin wrote: Sat Sep 24, 2022 10:14 pm Still, nobody needs "half speed" function?

This allows me to put effects on just the tops but you could mute this way too. I just wish there was a standard for placement of the samples so I could label each track for example 'Atlas Snare 1' instead of just 'Atlas Audio 1'.
For a reverse you could just drag the midi into your DAW and reverse it. I end up exporting the drum MIDI to my Atlas Drum Rack track so I can edit it to match my songs easier. You could also change parts to half speed there by adjusting the MIDI.
In case anyone wants the Ableton project. I'm sure it could be better but it works for my needs.
