It was one of the first toys I checked out after upgrading to C12 last few days. Bugger me but it's strong. Seems like a Steinberg version of OTT but a lot more usable. I threw it over a recent project and dialled in that "enhancer" preset - wow. Damn near blew my ears off but still very clean.
Actually it was so incredibly squashed it showed up some other stuff to me. E.g. there was a very audible background rumble/hiss that turned out to be a couple of Valhalla Delays. I'd seen a flickering channel previously but couldn't actually hear it at all and put it on the back burner to fix. But Squasher brought it up so high I had to cancel it - on 2 FX channels. Turned out it was the "age" parameter on Valhalla delays. I like it for a little bit of dirt, but it obvs throws in a constant noise that isn't heard at normal levels. Disappeared when I turned "age" off. When squashed to oblivion it's plainly audible, even with no audio input to the delay. AND it showed up the feedback is pretty good too - had to dial the feedback way back, as at 60% it went on forever.
Gotta watch myself that I don't abuse that toy.
**** me! C12 Squasher is fierce.

I'm mostly in Bitwig at the moment but will see if I can give that a whirl.
But have to say... I find it very annoying when things are some hiss and I can't track it down at first. And it's especially bad on delays and reverbs where I might pump up the output more than normal

Yeah, TBH I was a bit surprised at how the noise works in something like Valhalla - I'd expect noise/dirt etc to be present only when there's an input signal, not just constant even when idle.
