I'm happy to announce that UVI just released my sound library Fluidity for Falcon and they distribute it exclusively.

Below are the audio demos I made so far, there are more examples by other composers on the UVI product page and in UVI Portal in case you're using that. I'll also produce some videos soon.

UVI just published this interview with me in the context of the release of Fluidity for Falcon. Check it out

The UVI interview was a good read and I encourage others to check it out. Simon, one thing that I really appreciate about your patches in general, is the amount of expressiveness that's baked into each preset through the macros, etc. I have yet to purchase an MPE controller, but it's high on my list because of synths like Falcon, which can be manipulated by one of these types of controllers.

I grew up using hardware synths, drum machines, samplers and effects which required a hands-on approach. MPE looks like the next exciting interface between man and machine. More developers are beginning to support the standard, too. I suspect there will always be the drive to have deeper performance control through some type of physical interface. It's an interesting aspect of digital music and art and I'm very curious to see where the technology leads us.

As always, the Fluidity patches are beautiful-sounding. They're rich and full of interesting sounds and textures... very lush!! I wish that Falcon's GUI was arranged a little differently. It seems like an awful lot of clicks are required to design patches from the ground up. But with that being said, it is an amazing environment for sound design once you get your head around it's incredible list of features.

Fluidity is a wonderful addition to my Falcon sound library. Thank you for the inspiration!! :tu:

Thank you very much, that feedback enhances my 3rd morning coffee by +12 dB!

I'm curious if I will witness the times when electronic instruments can be fully controlled by gesture, an eye twitch or even a thought - until then I'm fine with keyboards and MPE in certain situations, but a good weighted keyboard with plenty of sliders and knobs is actually my natural habitat and I can take full advantage of all the Macros in Falcon or any other synth which offers Macros. In Fluidity UVI asked my to reduce my usual Macro plethoramania to an average of ten which was a good challenge.

There is always room for improvement in Falcon as it has become so complex over the years but once you have grasped the workflow and modular approach it becomes a very powerful all rounder.

Here is a nice review of Fluidity on the Synth&Software website:

Just got the “Simon Stockhausen” trio for Falcon: Fluidity, Plurality and Ether Fields.
Best of the best. Here’s hoping a fourth one is up and coming for the texture oscillator in Falcon 2.8 :tu:

Thank you Fleer, I'm pretty confident that my collaboration with UVI will continue.

Welcome! You make wonderful patches.
But now I’m wondering if you couldn’t revisit your older expansions like Ether Fields and update them with Falcon 2.8’s Texture Oscillator? That would even further enhance their value. Revisiting expansions with the new Falcon capabilities, they could then be easily updated and downloaded through UVI Portal.

Well that counts for all the 21 Falcon libraries I've produced so far, if I would constantly update every library to include some new features Falcon has to offer in its latest version (or any other synth I produce sounds for) I would never create anything new. Also I doubt UVI would want to invest into updating older libraries I made and I have no influence whatsover on their production plan. I'll explore the texture oscillator and the new effects in an upcoming library.

Quite understandable.
Looking forward to getting that upcoming one :tu:

Question about Fluidity: is there an “i” info panel per patch, as with Ether Fields and Plurality?
Solved: you’ve got to enter the Script page and there’s the “I”.
