Hi there

Is there any plugin that does a realistic tremolo and vibrato like in the old ac30 amps? I've understood that ac30 used square wave, and I can do that with the tube modulator from audiority, but it doesn't sound quite like the ac30 trem/vib, wich is so special.

Did you try Tremolator by Soundtoys?

No. Price is a bit stiff for me right now, and do you have to download all their plugins and use iLock even for the demo?

Was on sale for $29 almost precisely a year ago. Perhaps offer repeats. Yes, iLock and all plugs installer for demo.

I have it, and it is wonderful, but I don't think it does a convincing vox vib/trem like in the amps.

I'm not too familiar with the AC30 tremolo, but maybe you can try my free tremolo plugin:

https://adammonroemusic.com/free-tremol ... -free.html

You can select both "analog" and "digital" square waves for the tremolo and panner shapes, as well as sine, triangle, saw, and some weird shapes I've made that likely don't exist anywhere else. Honestly, it's a pretty good plugin, with lots of handy presets, but people just want to use the name brand expensive stuff I guess! Maybe I should make some better demos? I will check out the vox tremolo circuit and see if it has some weird shape or something, à la the Rhodes suitcase tremolo/panner...

The AC30 has a wonderful tremolo/vibrato sound. Since you have Tube Modulator, you can try this couple of presets I've just done.
I took this video as a reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvRTLUYF_tc

They sound pretty similar, even tho a proper simulation of that circuit will do way better.

I will try this! I use both freeware and payware, no bias in any direction. Thanks!

Thanks! I will try this. I use your tube modulator a lot especially for fendery bias tremolo on guitars. I have even used it for weird drum modulation. It's a beautiful plugin, for sure.

Martinic just released a plugin of the Colorsound Tremolo pedal. "Sola Sound developed the Colorsound Tremolo, modeled after the tremolo of a VOX® AC30 tube amp, using only 4 transistors." We're talking at least two degrees of abstraction removed from the AC30, but worth a further look. https://www.martinic.com/en/products/colorsound-tremolo

Tried! I think the analog square wavre gets me close. Thanks!

Hi Luca! TM doesn't want to load those presets? (I have the vst3 version.)
