NI Komplete 14

For me, Kontakt 7 finally treating third-party libraries like proper citizens takes away the technical barrier when in the creative workflow and trying out sounds.

Great to hear this, so for example if you have a random .NKI you can import it,tag it and it then resides right along the rest of the properly tagged Kontakt supported instruments in the browser ?

Hi, could someone - who’s already upgraded to 14 - please confirm if I am reading the release notes of Kontakt 7 correctly:

They did not actually update the user interface to Hdpi. They only updated the browser to Hdpi. The actual user interface (modules, effects etc) is still the original 2002 interface and isn’t resizable either.

I may have jumped the gun. There were several blank folder icons in my browser that I mistakenly thought were non-native Kontakt libraries. Perhaps they don't have a HDPI icon? Including the new Kontakt factory library 2.

I am glad that they added preview for sounds in Kontakt, like in Komplete Kontrtol. Very useful.

Received my pre-order about 1.5 hours ago. Opened Native Access 2, which automatically activated my Collector's Edition Update. Immediately received 3 emails from NI, as below:

NA2 still loading after an update...

By the way, clever idea by NI/iZotope to bundle Ozone 10 Standard directly in Komplete 14 and Native Access 2. This means you can't simply sell on the unregistered serial number you would have otherwise got from iZotope. I wonder how to register Ozone 10 Standard in our iZotope account?

Does kontakrt 7 overwrite kontakt 6? Does anyone know if the S series lightguides work when running kontakt outside of komplete kontrol now?
