Is Sound Canvas VA VST3 available for proper computers yet (obviously I'm referring to Windows)?

Seems there's an issue with signing in to RC accounts at the moment.
Edit: Looks like it's working fine now.

I just ran Roland Cloud, and it said there was an update for Zenology Pro. I approved it, but unexpectedly, it forced a system restart, without giving me the option to cancel.
Just to confirm, I found the following event in event log (Windows Logs/System):
The process C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{d546cd4c-<guid>...}\ZENOLOGY.exe (MyMachineName) has initiated the restart of computer MyMachineName on behalf of user MyMachineName\Me for the following reason: Application: Installation (Planned)
Reason Code: 0x80040002
Shutdown Type: restart

So no new features ? Roland can you maybe just a add a midi learn midi cc for browsing through patches, not asking for anything too crazy here , but if you’re going to do an update like this maybe add a much needed feature

I have a M1 Macbook Pro with 16gb RAM. Quite a fast computer. But still the System 1 plugin can't operate without CPU spikes at latency's lower than 512 samples on Maschine or Presonus Studio One. I thought System 1 AU is M1 native. Is anyone else having problems using System 1 (and System
AU's instruments on a mac? I'm about to buy a second hand System 1m. So I can use that as a controller. But as long as the plugin is behaving this way, I think I won't invest in a hardware version.

I also can't run the System 1 plugin on my M1 MacBook Pro. It immediately spikes the CPU to 100% at any playable latency. The other Cloud instruments run fine, though some still are CPU hogs they are at least playable.

System 1 is clearly not optimised for M1. The system 8 on the other hand runs with extremely low CPU usage. I tested it in logic running in native mode. When checking the system 1 plug in version, it says that it is the ARM version.
I checked all the Roland cloud plugins, and nearly all of them have very low CPU usage - the JV1080 and XV-5080 are just as bad as the system 1.
I even tried reinstalling the system 1, to no avail.

Apart from presets is there anything the System 1 has that the System 8 doesn’t?

The sound is different.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Oct 12, 2022 9:48 pm Apart from presets is there anything the System 1 has that the System 8 doesn’t?
Try to make the same sounds on both and you will hear that the filter is more in your face on the System 1 Compared to System 8.
It is like comparing the original Korg minilogue to the Minilogue XD or Prologue.

You can use the system 1 filter in the system-8 as a filter variation next to the juno/jp8 and the other exotic ones BPF/phase stuff

I know but it doesn't sound the same as the system 1.Septic Underground wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 2:38 pm You can use the system 1 filter in the system-8 as a filter variation next to the juno/jp8 and the other exotic ones BPF/phase stuff
Try to make the same sound on both using some resonance and you will hear the difference.
The System 8 seems to mellow out the highs compared to System 1.

Agreed. Trying to match presets is almost impossible. You can get them sounding similar, but it's like the system 8 is a muted version of the system 1.
it's odd, because on paper they look like they have exactly the same architecture.
