I should extract the middle section and orchestrate it like the final movement and then have good music. But I wanted to be bold, too.

At times I worried about sounding too much like Enigma Variations or Zelda's Lullaby.

Instances of Cardinal: 29 I think

Airwindows Cliponly 2

Cakewalk DAW
Stock Plugins:
Sonitus Compressor (about 6)
Sonitus Reverb (about 3)
Prochannel EQ: about 8 or 9

I believe those are all the plugins.

Here's my track, i had a lot of fun making it even with the bugs i experienced. quite a few modules i miss from VCV Rack though.

TDR Nova

AirWindows:
Monitoring3
(plus some lovely airwindows VCV/Cardinal modules, wish the rest were also modules.)

I've probably had more fun with Cardinal than any other synth this year. This month's effort is what I could recover from the modular rabbit hole in time to enter.

A single instance of Cardinal running standalone, this uses a semi-random drum sequencer and a random chord generator for the sounds. It then uses a couple of gate sequencers to selectively mute/enable the various voices. The whole thing was then recorded using Audacity.

Good luck with this one voters!

I learnt a lot about modular synthesizers while making this track. It was lot of fun! But my cable management is a mess.

1x Cardinal instance
Made in Ableton
Stock limiter

Hope you enjoy it. Have a good day!

Was fun to participate for the first time to a KVR challenge, although I already have quite some experience with Cardinal ;)
Had some time limitations, but ended up with a track I still kind of enjoy.

Mostly sequenced by Midinous and arranged and mixed in Bitwig.
7x Cardinal Synth
2x Cardinal FX
No other plugins except for a single panning tool in Bitwig.

Btw I see not everyone is using the title naming convention or doesn't have downloads enabled.
Don't get disqualified with your submission!

Just downloaded the synth.
Might have some time today to do a last minute rushed thing. We'll see if I can get to it and make something worth sharing! :D

Ok guys I have managed to "finish" something which I hope you are least find not too bad. This has been a big challenge in just learning how the synth works. As I still have a while left before the comp ends I may upload an update just before the end. I used just 1 instance of Cardinal inside Abelton Live with only automation coming from the DAW. Feedback is highly appreciated.
I have used Reverb, OTT, EQ Eight, Ozone Imager 2 on the Master.

AFAIK, title naming convention applies to the downloadable track, not the soundcloud display name. And if one's KVR and soundcloud nick are the same there's no need to include the KVR nick in the latter, as it is shown with the track on the voting page anyway. If not, it's convenient, but not required.

Ah thnx. So it's only for the download-file. Still several people have not enabled those, so impossible to tell if their files are named correctly ;)

You couldn't have picked a more difficult synth to do last minute! :D Good luck. I hope you manage something.

That's a cool plugin. I've used Rack before but nice having it as a plug.

25 instances in Live. All DAW effects (Delays, EQ, Saturation, Compressor) except Val. SuperMassive and OrilRiver Reverb.

Here is my submission.

The first couple of weeks I wasn't feeling very creative - tried a couple of things and ran into dead ends. I got some momentum eventually but as a result it's probably the closest I've come to running out of time. Didn't spend as much time as usual on final polishing/mixing/mastering. The high CPU demand was also a limitation - it stopped me from adding more sounds, and in some cases I avoided modules that I might have liked to use.

DAW: Reaper
Plugin counts:
- VST3: Cardinal (DISTRHO) (18ch) x15 [13 instruments, 2 effects]
- VST: ReaComp (Cockos) x1
- VST: ReaLimit (Cockos) x3
