No processing in VST3 plugins (e.g. FabFilter ProQ3)

Acoustica generally seems to have some issues with VST3. The VST3 versions of Voxengo plugins do not work properly in Acoustica GUI-wise, the VST2 ones work fine though.

I apologize for my late reply. Please note that the folder is not the same as in the post from July 5th, so it would be great if you could make an attempt.Gades wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 9:33 amYes, I did it after your ask from Tue Jul 05, 2022 10:06 am, I did it now, without successstian wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 12:32 pm Thanks for sharing your latest findings. I see from your video that Pro-Q3 starts with a user setting. Could you please try to rename the folder "LastSettings" in "C:\Users\[YOUR ACCOUNT NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Acon Digital\" (please replace [YOUR ACCOUNT NAME] in the folder with your user name) to e.g. "_LastSettings" and try again? I'm sorry for the back and forth, but I don't really understand what's going on there.
I tried also all sound devices from my computer (ASIO, Windows Audio). Maybe some beta version with extended logging or something? Should be helpful also with Waves Clarity Vx problem.

Thanks for reporting! Acoustica reopens the plug-in chain with all the settings from last time Acoustica was used. Apparently, the last settings in your case triggered an error. Without the exact settings, it is difficult to reproduce. Do you still have the Last.chain that triggered the error?jorgensen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 7:38 am I have experienced something similar with Neutron 4 in Windows, and have done a lot of research and experiments until I now believe have found a solution.
When using the Neutron VST3 plugin, the Detailed View worked fine but for the Assistant View the sound icon was just spinning waiting for the sound to be analyzed.
My final conclusion was, that Acoustica did send the sound to Detailed View but not always to the Assistant View!
Finally after deleting all 'Neutron' files as well as the 'Last.chain' file in the folder "%appdata%\Acon Digital\LastSettings" the Assistent View now works everytime.

There were some major problems with Voxengo VST3 plug-ins in high-DPI modes on Windows, but this should be fixed in the latest version. Are experiencing these problems with Acoustica 7.4.7?

I haven't, since I was not aware of any fixes regarding the matter; I don't think it was mentioned in the changelog, I might be wrong though. I just kinda assumed it was pushed to a later update. Will investigate and report back.

Thanks! The fix was in the plug-in hosting in the JUCE library that we use for development, so it's not the changelog.

I did notice this after jorgensen's post - it works now fine for FabFilter Q3, but smart:comp2 still doesn't work properly - no audio in there

I haven't been around lately and sorry for the late reply, but I can indeed confirm that the issue with Voxengo's VST3 is resolved, they work now as intended; thank you for fixing this, much appreciated.

I just tested the VST3 version of smart:comp2 and can confirm the issue. We'll try to fix this ASAP.
