As far as I am aware Neutron Elements 3 is not a free plugin, therefore not allowed.BrainBeatMusic wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 11:32 am Ok guys I have managed to "finish" something which I hope you are least find not too bad. This has been a big challenge in just learning how the synth works. As I still have a while left before the comp ends I may upload an update just before the end. I used just 1 instance of Cardinal inside Abelton Live with only automation coming from the DAW. Feedback is highly appreciated.
I have used Reverb, OTT, Neutron Elements 3, Ozone Imager 2 on the Master.

Hi friends,
here is my submission. This was the most challenging month for now. I created every sound from scratch. In the end it was a good lesson and the sounds are different from my favourite synths (Vital and Surge XT).
The track uses 13 instances of Cardinal in Reaper with standard in-built plugins for EQ, compression and limiting to -14 LUFS.
In the beginning I wanted to make an ambient track, but it drifted away and got some drive, so I tell now a story about walking, stumbling, standing up, and continuing even against the wind.

Ha ha thanks. I just gave up Nearly got somewhere, but crashes, and you are right - too much time required for me to make a decent set of sounds. Oh well... good luck everyone, hope to join next month (a.k.a. tomorrow)silverpants wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 4:29 pmYou couldn't have picked a more difficult synth to do last minute! Good luck. I hope you manage something.

Didn't even have the proper time to try the Audio (in my case guitar) to pitch thing with Cardinal, but heard that it was somewhat glitchy…
Scrolled through the thread fast, great entries this month!!
Will be fun to see who makes the top 5!
With all the fx, amp and synth emulations out there, not to mention AI, you can finally sound like…? Someone else and something that has already been done! -------

I was very excited for this month, and had a lot of fun early on. I discovered some modules I wasn't aware of before, and came up with some delightfully wonky sounds. I'll definitely be playing with Cardinal more. Alas, another month goes by that I haven't had the energy to finish a track. Ç'est le brie.

Oh my bad I had thought I had gotten it free (which I probably did) but it does look like it is not one of their free plugins now. I will swap it to just the EQ eight in an hour or so from now.RichardSemper wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 6:25 pmAs far as I am aware Neutron Elements 3 is not a free plugin, therefore not allowed.BrainBeatMusic wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 11:32 am Ok guys I have managed to "finish" something which I hope you are least find not too bad. single instance generative mind bending modular spaghetti nonsense, enjoy

recorded in bitwig, no external effects. the patch was a lot of fun to create, then i got stuck on picking just one recording of it. i was tempted to upload a 18 minute epic with all of my favorites but it seemed like a bad idea to arrange audio clips like that for this challenge. and perhaps also a bad idea in general.

Hi all, our friend @IV was having some problems accessing SoundCloud, so I uploaded his track to my own SoundCloud account in order to get it posted by the deadline. As it is late in Russia, he said he'll post the details tomorrow.

Cardinal..... what a fun and interesting synth. I almost wish that we had a second month with this one as it took the full month to really get comfortable with the sound-making environment and to get really predictable results, so focusing on music and mixing came at the last minute.
Around 25 instances in Bitwig. Bitwig efx, Nova Free, a few Cardinal efx built into patches.
