Was this in Logic Pro X with the AU plug-in? Or was this the standalone version?

Hi All! I updated three videos in the series as the info was getting old, so, I just recorded new ones. They are the first 3 videos in the series playlist, The Introduction, Settings, and the User Interface. What is different this time, is, I have chapter markers in these for each of the topics. I also use better examples when I could. So, if you are having an issue and not sure if you doing something correctly, you can look at the chapters to locate the area you might be having a problem with. (or just watch them.. The idea here, of course, is it's just a resource for you, like the manual is, but, in video form.. enjoy!

Great to see RC v4.5b4!

I seem to be observing that regeneration has been completely decoupled from the loop and moved to the phrase level. IOW, every phrase of a type that -can- regenerate will have a lightning symbol, and it will regenerate every time it plays -if- the lightning is enabled. Is that a correct summary?

Also, could you say a bit about "change auto-regeneration options for all selected phrases at once"? What are those options, and where are they set, and how are phrases multi-selected?

That was a minor bug that if you select a range of phrases on a track (shift - click a range of phrases), if you clicked the regen lightning bolt, only the first one would set.. now it works.. for enabling the regen, you still have to select each one individually to set the options. (right click the bolt on the phrase)

I observe that a freshly added Bass Generator remakes its phrase when the little right arrow is clicked (expected), but a bassline which has been converted to a Bass Generator (via the operation in the Phrase inspector menu) does not remake its phrase when the little right arrow is clicked.

I also have observed cases where clicking the little right arrow works up to a certain point (e.g. 15) and then stops working, by which I mean that newly minted phrases via the little right arrow no longer add into the history list.

I just bought this software the other week and the GUI has been acting weird on my M1max. How do I update to the most recent version, the one mentioned above? Is it a beta and not ready for full release?

Hello PsychicVST,

what do you mean by "acting weird"? If you found that scrolling is too fast or jumping suddenly to the top, you can adjust scrolling acceleration and deceleration under the Settings / User Interface tab. You need to set a bigger deceleration (above 1.0), smaller acceleration, and maybe smaller maximum speed. Please let me know if you find suitable settings. At the moment horizontal dragging on the trackpad does not have an effect.

A few issues in v4.4.3 have been solved/fixed in the beta version, which actually contains the latest bug fixes. New features may have bugs. I'll gladly send you the download links to the beta version.

New phrases are actually added to the history, but at the same time the oldest phrase is removed. This setting was introduced to have a sensible limit for the number of old states stored.

I can't believe I realized only today that this topic does not have "beta" in the title! I remember, there was a v3 beta topic, and then this topic was created for the unreleased version 4. I am going to add "beta" in the title...

Very good, makes sense, got it. Thanks for the explanation!

One little be-aware for folks: if you have old projects with more phrase saves than that setting, they will load and all those old saves will be there. You will be able to go back-and-forth thru them, so long as you don't generate a new one. Once you generate a new one, the limit kicks in and you'll lose any previously saved history over that limit.

If you are using ToonTrack EZ-Bass, it can crash RC. They say to turn off this setting, in EZ Bass, Settings, general.. show note.. This is from their tech support.. (if the box shown is selected, uncheck that)
