Hmm well wtf I don't like the sound of that. Odd though because 99% of my plugins load normally. I only notice it when booting the daw and when loading the cfx grand piano vst.
Maybe you're past this stage now but probably not disk access then if other stuff's ok.
Btw I'm listening to your never to be repeated album/song and really enjoying it. You familiar with the side project from gybe called Set Fire to Flames? They released only two albums but it's always been a mysterious love of mine. Your stuff is giving me those lovely unnerving vibes
Wow, thank you. I do know them, I hoovered up all those GYBE related/not really related bands back then (Do Make Say Think etc). That track was meant as a 'meditation' if anything, doesn't go anywhere, just is. :)

I do love the meditation (doesn't got anywhere) pieces lol. Also a long time lover of Do Make Say think.

"GenericMultiCoreProcessor.dll" seems to be part of Waves plugins, so it's possible the slow load times have something to do with Waves. I would try running Waves Central to check for updates, and maybe completely uninstall and reinstall Waves.
Also check whether your DAW has some kind of plugin cache that can be cleared so you can do a complete rescan. Of course, also double check that all the VST paths are correct and you don't have any duplicates or unnecessary paths there. (Probably like most here) I'm not familiar with Mixcraft, so you might have better luck asking their support or posting in some Mixrcaft specific forum.
Good idea! I'll do the daw plugin rescan now. I do have a bunch of waves stuff, oddly though they all seem to load fine. I can uninstall all the waves stuff to see if everything loads better.

I noticed windows 11 has an "uninstall last update" feature. Unfortunately I can't uninstall the 22h2 update, I guess it's too "critical". At some point I want to do a full reinstall, I like doing that from time to time. This computer is only half a year old though, so I'll probably wait until the new year at least. And I definitely will not be installing the 22h2 update after that lol.

For me it's only Rapid and Avenger in VST3 Version, while preset change in VST2 is very fast, a preset change with VST3 is very slow, so that i prefer VST2 versions.

Maybe it has something to to with integrated security from Windows. I also was in contact with Vengeance, but they have no idea.

Nope. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

I'm on Win11. I had more issues with Win 10. Windows has never been and will never be perfect for audio. You have to do alot of tinkering to get it to perform wells.

I don't know about that. Apart from switching to the high performance power plan, I don't do any optimization, and LatencyMon shows very good results.

Of course, if you buy a desktop or laptop from a manufacturer which comes with a pre installed Windows with loads of manufacturer and sponsored apps, and you install a lot of stuff which runs background services, then the PC will perform worse. I would always recommend to install Windows new, and get a fresh install without any BS apps and services.
