Hi Chris
Thanks! I will go have a look now!
If anyone wants to review our freeware ( or even the new M42 with the new features) that would be cool as well.

HI Chrisgive a bad rating on stability issue just because SE synth and Orion are not very friendly
Above is a quote from the review...thanks for being honest ( we like it) however..we would like to know what sort of stability problems you are having.
Maybe we should get Orion sometime, but working with eXT, MiniHost, Tracktion,Cubase, it seems OK.
Just found out there may be some issues with FL Studio and automation, but have to check it.
Thanks for your review however... a very nice one! and you are right..it IS fun to play!To be honest, I still have to check out putting in some user soundfonts and have a play with that. I wonder what a drum kit would sound like? WOAH!

I would like to know what these issues are with Orion & M42 myself. I would hate the idea of having used M42 since it's release in Orion & not noticed a single problem..

HI
Same here - that is, I have used M42 V11 several times in Orion V5.8 with no problems.

hi,
i am thinking about my issues and it seems that every fans of both products will disagree with me ...
so i will try to be rapid
it seems difficult to exactly told you what happen because it's just a plugin, i don't have a log !
ok i remember now, one crash was when i was looking for the automation of the warp module and i swaped between automation type vst parameter and midi CC while running
IMHO this is a cpu overload problem
SE synths are not known to be light on CPU

HI
Saying that I have noticed on a few patches that they play without triggering - so if I switch to pre-set SPLIT dreamsync the patch is playing away without any input from the keyboard, this also happens on many other pre-sets - I have to close-re-open M42 to stop the behavior, this happens without any other instruments loaded?
Sounds like a stuck midi message?
Flipper.

Clarifying this in your review would probably be greatly appreciated.

inside orion platinum 5.8 ???original flipper wrote:I have noticed on a few patches that they play without triggering
i have the same problem when i keep one finger on the keyboard while giving the focus on the mixer or another synth
i use this feature to scratch my nose
the solution inside orion is to press the HOME key (panic button)

I think we have to relook at the automation process. I have tested it on my UC-16, and there are a few known bugs that we now have in the M42v11 readme txt. Also, just got a report of some automation problems with FL as I said earlier. So..something to work on for the next release

But if Chris did not write the review..we would not know of this bug.But I guess clarification would be great if you could do that Chris.ThanksSicklecell666 wrote:carrieres wrote:hi,

i quote from my review "i give a bad rating on stability issue just because SE synth and Orion are not very friendly."Sicklecell666 wrote: Well, it sounds like you're describing an SE issue, not an issue with M42..
...
While M42 is made with SE, I don't think faulting AlgoMusic in a review is hardly fair at all.
how can i be more understood ???
what i will appreciate is that you write a review
i am not a journalist, i just want to write a review to let others musicians know that this wonderfull synth exist (by making it appears on the rating list)
i put this phrase in my review to explain the bad rating on stability, or do you prefer a bad rating and no explanation ?

But you didn't give an explanation in the review. You gave it here. If you were to include this in the review:carrieres wrote: i quote from my review "i give a bad rating on stability issue just because SE synth and Orion are not very friendly."

"One crash was when i was looking for the automation of the warp module and i swaped between automation type vst parameter and midi CC while running"
Then people would have an idea what you mean instead of thinking that M42 does not run well in Orion..
Never mind, whatever..

Thanks Chris...much better, as well as the little add-in that M42 was your first VST purchase. We are honored!carrieres wrote:clarification done![]()
