Bitwig & Reason Studios no retrospective midi record?

If I am correct, neither Bitwig nor Reason Studios have retrospective midi recording? Any ideas why they don't have it? Is it very difficult to implement?
I think every other DAW has it (Studio One, Ableton, Cubase at least and maybe Reaper also).

Perhaps Bitwig and Reason Studios will provide retrospective midi recording as a paid add-on
