It took 10 pages for the obvious solution to come up: you should all move to REAPER.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 12:31 pm I imagine there will be a number of these types of videos. If enough well known YouTubers do this kind of thing then maybe it'll count for something

Nope.

Actually, there are 2 pages of posts with Reaper mentions in this thread: search.php?keywords=reaper&t=587611&sf=msgonly
Well, it's KVR Audio after all.

I hear Fruity Loops is a proper these days, lol!
So, I downloaded the demo, I’m fluent in PT, Logic, Live, Reaper, Cubendo et all, but this thing… makes no sense…
It opens instantly, pretty crazy!
I always laughed it off as a toy, and ironically cannot work out how to use, lol!

but worth checking its own documentation too, the weakest point of (from workflow point of view) it IMO is the mixer so I would check
before anything else to see able to live with it later ... or not (it has full modular routing behind the scenes this is why it works this way but not sure you will like it ... but who knows

^^^ + an additionally optional workflow has been added to traditionally DAW users like you in 20.1, so I would start with this video
from 0:25, multiple tracks operations(selection, plugin adding etc. ) will be added in FL21 so should wait a bit for it , (then check the mixer first as I've mentioned above...

Cool, I see there’s a beta, is all that available in the beta already?xbitz wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:45 pm ^^^ + an additionally optional workflow has been added to traditionally DAW users like you in 20.1, so I would start with this video

yepp, just the betas aren't too stable ones (stability isn't the top prio devs try to put them into as many features as they can to get back constructive feedback, so it was not blaming, FL has a very good community), Trancit creates videos about them from time to time

Did that really happen, do you have a source for it? I don't remember it, but I would've been there for it if it did. I'm pretty sure I never paid twice for FL and I've had it since around v4, so pre FL Studio. Wouldn't be unheard of for me to forget such a thing, though.BenfordLaw wrote: Sun Oct 09, 2022 12:37 pm This reminds me of the time when Fruity Loops had free lifetime updates, and then Image Line changed its name to 'FL Studio' and said that it was a 'new' product, and you had to buy it even though you already owned Fruity Loops.

i bought a copy of fruity loops around 2001 for $99. i forgot about it because was only using it on an old windows machine. then last year i saw that my account was still active. i downloaded it and installed it on my mac. my license was still good and i got the most recent version and still get notified of updates. I used for maybe a year after i bought in 2001.Dionysos wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 4:21 pmDid that really happen, do you have a source for it? so, for me.. it was a forever license and i figured that's how they do it. shrug. i'm stoked to have it on my apple silicon mac running great.

I believe BenfordLaw was being sarcastic
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Last version I used was version 3.3. It was pretty easy to use back then...simmo75 wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:13 pm I hear Fruity Loops is a proper these days, lol!

I think I even made something which remotely resembled a track in it.

In my mind, FL Studio is the DAW I am most likely to never use.simmo75 wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:13 pm I hear Fruity Loops is a proper these days, lol!
