Any thoughts on this? I have downloaded the demo and it seems quite nice (tiny gui on my laptop).

My specific concern: how authentic are the samples/sounds?

I had the Arturia CMI emulation but in the end it was too lo fi for me. This has a nice sound and a lot of samples. But what I want are the authentic samples, not a bunch of random samples.

For the price it seems pretty good.

Thanks

Seems like it's just a Fairlight ROMpler. Definitely cheap, but I wouldn't expect it to be more "hi-fi" than CMI V.

I think it is higher 'fi'. The CMI V had the samples at the original bit rates and sample values. This one doesn't sound like that. Consequently, although the CMI V offered up to 44k sample rates for user imported samples, it was too lo fi for me.

You'd probably get better input if you posted this in the Instruments subforum, since this one is dedicated to hardware.
