I REALLY wanted to play around with ACID Pro again since that is what I started with like 20 years ago. I have been demoing it for a couple days now and it is completely unusable. It crashes A LOT. I do not understand how anyone would buy this now after they demo it. Maybe if you ONLY use loops you won't run into a lot of problems but when using third party instruments the DAW crashed a lot. This is so sad because I really wanted to use this again because I loved it so much. It is a shame MAGIX isn't adept enough to take care of this great program.

Also I went on the forum and saw many similar complaints about 10. People were asking them to fix 10 before releasing 11 but obviously they did not listen. I would of felt like the biggest sucker if I bought this without demoing it because it is pretty much unusable in it's current state. So disappointing.

In short, don't buy this garbage.

I bought Acid Pro 10 and that was a buggy mess. Magix said they would fix bugs and instead released Acid Pro 11 which I have heard on the forums is just a rebranded Acid Pro 10 with all the same bugs.

I would stay way clear of Magix, I would not trust them.

Me few years ago :
Its VST support is really bad since the beginning.
ReWire is a way to live with Acid Pro :D

RIP ReWire

I've used ACID Pro since version 6 - Version 10 about 8 months ago simply stopped allowing me to see me VST plug ins. I could add them from the list but then no GUI would show up - you could manually set parameters on some - but that is stupid.I migrated to Reaper. Apparently there is still plug in issues with the product which is sad.

Last version I had was 8 I think. It worked ok IIRC, that was win 8 tho.

I think its fine if you avoid VST3. A lot of the issues there lie in that part of it. That's increasingly hard to do, though.

"Notifications for Nothing" are annoying. Blocking me in return is a good way to avoid this.

Acid Pro 10 Suite works great for me. Quite stable and efficient. Although not as robust as some other full-featured DAWs, it does very well at what it was designed to do.
