Somehow I messed up the behaviour of some of my generators:

How can I reset them to 1 bar insert length?

That maybe changed in newer versions.. it looks like you are behind in versions. I have the latest beta, and I am not seeing that possible.. it could be a feature that was removed too.. and it can be possible I have missed that myself..

but, in any case, I am looking in to it..

When I check for updates it says that I have the latest (non beta) version from 02.09.2022.

also, you can always just re-install over the current version and it will reset everything.. for now anyways..

This is very strange, I have never seen anything like this. But I managed to reproduce this!
I think you have saved some phrase generators with the same name in the Generators group.
Please open your Documents/RapidComposerV4/Custom Phrases folder and delete the 'Generators' folder.

The only special phrase generator which has its own length is the Motive Generator, because it is built from smaller motives, so you cannot set any lengths.

yea, just so everyone knows, the bug is, if you double click a generator and it sends it to the phrase editor, if you hit the "apply" button, it puts it back into the library browser. However, if you didn't name it, it shows up a "New" phrase. If you delete this, it also deletes the generator it was created from..

Ouch, I did not realize this! Nice catch, BluGenes!

Clicking on "Save As" does not let you overwrite, unlike "Apply changes to phrase in library".
I have fixed this today. Sorry for the confusion!

Hi BluGenes,

Not sure if you use the rest variation but do you know if it possible to add rests after each note. One of the issues I have with some of the older generators is you can't get syncopation with them. I was hoping to be able to use the rest to give me that's syncopation, I want to be able to add 4 beat rest after each note. ( for example)

If that is all you want to do, then use the rest generator and set the size you want. But, for an individual note, you will have to use the rest variation...
