Wasn't 11 any good?

I think Bitwig had a great year even without 4.4 and these spectral plugins.Uncle E wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 5:58 am Now that Bitwig has made the Spectral Suite free with the upgrade plan, it's got to be them.

Not for what I do, I'd like something like Bitwig where you can have different projects open in different tabs. Instead I had to get 11 just for M1 native.

Well, you need to click the activate audio engine button to switch between them - but it's really quick.Aiynzahev wrote: Fri Oct 14, 2022 12:13 am Not for what I do, I'd like something like Bitwig where you can have different projects open in different tabs.
I work on a bunch of different tracks at any given time, and this feature is really amazing.
Maybe the best use of it, for me, is I can open up an earlier version of something and retrieve settings for a channel/synth etc really easily if I feel I actually made something worse. So easy to copy paste between projects. Or open the old project and quickly, like seconds, group an fx chain, make a preset of it, then immediately load into into the current version.

Linux users have had their best year. But then again, Things get better and better for linux users EVERY year.
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

I guess Cubase for me? Bought 11 and switched back from Logic last year with the tempting free 12 upgrade deal. Been pretty awesome so far, now if they can just get Halion 7 out before the end of the year, it'll definitely be Steinberg here.
