I think the only issue is the input and output nobs to be fair which would lead you to believe that this unit does more than it actually does. It is still a good EQ and does what it does well.
I just see the violet as a part of a whole. If it did add extra harmonics or mojo then it wouldn’t work with the rest of the fusion plugins to accurately model the hardware.

I tried the SSL sub for 30 days and wound up not buying into it. I did grab the LMC comp for cheap at PB as I liked it on drums. Other than that, I was pretty fond of the X-limit and X-Gate plugins, the rest was nothing I wanted particularly.
