Logic on PC

I was a Logic PC 5.5 user and when it was discontinued, there was no way I could justify going Mac, so I had a succession of DAWs and just recently cross-graded to Studio One 6 for Windows. For me, it has more than Logic ever offered. Plus, looking back, Logic PC was only every pattern based and had very old plug-in and audio technology. S1 has a chord track (for MIDI and audio), great integration with Melodyne and decent instruments and effects. I agree with the others - if you really loved it, it makes most sense to get a Mac.

The sequencer in Logic 5.5 wasn't much different than it is today. Other than the Live Loops, the flow of the sequencer is exactly the same now as it was then. I think the first version of Logic Platinum I saw was 3.5 and it wasn't pattern based either.pbognar wrote: Wed Oct 12, 2022 10:14 pm Plus, looking back, Logic PC was only every pattern based and had very old plug-in and audio technology.
Going that far back, if you plan on using MIDI, you still have to configure the Environment in 5.5 though. That was never fun.
