I posted about Live Note for iOS on the app forum, this is the update to Live to allow you to work on iOS and then sync to LIve over the cloud and continue working!

New Features and improvements:
Ableton Cloud

Introduced Ableton Cloud, a service that sends Sets from Ableton Note directly to Live’s browser, as well as other instances of Note across various iOS devices.

To enable cloud functionality in Live, open Live’s Preferences, go to the Library tab, and switch the Show Cloud option to On.

Once enabled, a Cloud label will appear in the Places section of Live’s browser, along with a message prompting you to sign in to ableton.com. Click the Sign In button to open a web browser window, this will lead you through the activation process required to connect the service to your Ableton User Account.

After activating Cloud, any Sets that are uploaded to Cloud in Note will appear in Live’s browser in real-time, assuming both devices are connected to a reliable network and logged into the same Ableton User Account.

Various Cloud-related software texts have been added in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.

Is Ableton Cloud free? or a paid service?

It's free but my understanding is that it is currently very limited in its utility. You can only use it to move bundles from Note to Live and nothing else. And it also only holds a max of 5 bundles.

I can try but I suspect not- it's very clever and well done- they obviously make the packs in Live, the 'rack' (instruments and fx) is converted to a simpler version for iOS but still seems to be the live instruments and fx in iOS! I'm not exactly sure- only been looking at it for 20 minutes- but if you open a iOS pack or make something with the iOS instruments/samples/fx when you open it in live you get the same thing but in full Live instruments and FX! (Wavetable synth, sampler etc)

Very, very clever and very well executed...its mini-Live on iOS that opens to 'full Live' via a cloud transfer...how did they keep this quiet and just launch it 'fully working' out of the blue!

(PS- this could have been Bitwig network sharing!)

Synched my first project from Note to Live. This is very well done. Hopefully they introduce Live set synching from Live to other Live users.

Why, what happened ?

I have installed the packs on a separate drive. AL browser did not see them. You have to make them visible again via the preference settings. Lost my tag names , colors only and have to make them visible via selection boxes in settings. Also you have to reselect your plugin folders via ....
Zoom level is reset to 100%

Well it all works again, but did take some time to find out.
Curious to know if this is just my experience with this (automatic) update.

I had no issues with the update at all on Windows 11...in fact I hadn't realised it had updated...nothing changes until you enable the cloud function them it just adds a cloud icon in your locations.

shame. you would have thought they'd start you off being able to transfer between different computers with Live on it as well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that is on a roadmap somewhere.

I think you can transfer between iOS devices but haven't tried it...this is just the start I assume with that new 'cloud' icon in places...they have said it's just the start of development for the iOS app and investing in a cloud function within Live makes we think they are taking this seriously...

Ableton can seem so slow sometimes, but they do have a habit of just dropping something out of the blue with no 'teasing' that just works!
