That seems expensive. Hopefully it goes on a decent sale and I’ll buy it.

Heh, no discount for owning the HW version I guess. Oh well, I don't think I'll be buying the plugin.

*A great reverb tho, imho. I love the pedal. :tu:

Nice one Big Sky, I've been waiting for you guys to enter the VST market! :tu:

At that price I rather buy the pedal... If I didn't have other 174 reverbs plugins... and pedals...
Glad to see Strymon making plugins though.

Far too expensive. I'll stick with Xenoverb. Would love to see a bake off between the Strymon Big Sky plugin and Audiority Xenoverb though.

Nice that they decided to go software. As others have mentioned though, the price seems steep to me, especially considering the lots of quality software reverbs, so, I don't feel like I miss out on anything if I pass at that price point.

I have the hardware. Best reverb I have. The step to make a plug-in is obvious for a dsp driven hardware. And the price? Well, it is Strymon, not BOSS…

This is great news. Hoping for sales or future bundle discounts as they release more products.

Hardware is nice, but the opportunity for easy automation control, preset management and in-the-box use with other vst/audio sources takes this boutique guitar pedal to a new level.

Post

Bit pricey but nice that there is a demo so people who can't get the hardware can at least here what the fuss is about (or not). Definitely be tempted in a sale, but need to be less than 100...
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yeah I was hoping it was $99, at least on intro.

Damn, ever since I sold my BigSky pedal, I've been secretly hoping that UA would release this for Apollo interfaces so I could use it in standalone mode with my hardware synths. Oh well, I agree with everybody else - maybe I'd pick it up during a sale, but I've got far too many other excellent reverb plugins to justify spending that much.

Still, quite a day today - Bigsky VST, Artura drops a load of new stuff and a Live update and iOS app...good things come in 3s!

Absolutely. The hardware unit is 499 Euro. If you calculate the material and production costs at realistic 150 Euro the price for the plug-in is reasonable. BTW the hardware has complete midi control possibilities. So I am not in desperation not getting it yet in Germany
