Not surprisingly it's just a straight port, no GUI resizing.
Look how long it took NI to make their catalog to AS? it's been 2 years and just half way through.
Massive has a higher chance to get the Absynth 5 treatment than having a resizable GUI....

That’s nothing. IK Multimedia has about 10 plugins with Apple Silicon support and almost 60 that still don’t support it.

To be fair, the 10 that support it include SampleTank and Amplitube with about a third of their libraries left to go in T-Racks. I would say NI is still far far behind IK because of that. Kontakt and Reaktor are the backbone to most NI stuff, and Reaktor looks to be dead last.

I’m not sure what you mean by this.
Are you saying IK has completed porting two-thirds of the T-RackS plugins to Apple Silicon?

If so, where did you get that information? Do you have a link to it?

Even if true, we still have another year before we see Apple Silicon compatible T-RackS released, since it’s taken them 2 years to port 2 thirds, as that’s 1/3 of T-RackS per year, with another third left to go.

Not I meant most of their content is from three engines; T-racks, Amplitube, and Sampletank. Beyond that it’s maybe 6 products like ARC etc. and about half of those are AS ready.

OK, I see. But T-RackS encompasses about 80% of IK's plugins.

Also, the SampleTank-powered sounds installers aren't M1 compatible. Some of them fail to open on an M1 computer completely. And that means if or when IK finally updates the sounds installers, Mac users will all have to pay for Sounds Reactivation Credits just to download working installers. Real classy, IK.

Booooo.

TINY would be a better name for this synth on my monitor.

Sure, not saying IK is doing it right by any means, but the original post saying 60 VS NI etc. Yeah I don't think so, NI have done their FX, Kontakt libraries, Massive, and Guitar Rig, but
Reaktor and the dozens of stand alone instrument ensembles, Massive X, Traktor, Maschine, FM8 etc. etc. are far from being updated still.

If anything the argument could be made that it's a draw, that's about it. I'll give IK the win for a clear reason though, resizable GUI's, older NI plug ins are not getting any of that.
The most annoying thing with IK is they were barreling ahead and just shut down, nothing ported for months. That's frustrating. Mixbus is great to have until T-Racks shows though.

IN the end I wish neither of them made good products by great developers when I think about the trash business decisions they make though.

Hi, that's good news. From which link did you download? If I try on https://store.solidstatelogic.com/plug- ... =documents I get the older version (1.0.55).
I downloaded them yesterday here
https://support.solidstatelogic.com/hc/ ... ease-Notes
Thank you, these works. Hopefully they will update also the other plugins like x-eq2 etc.

Note: Relab LX480 Essentials (not Complete) is listed as version 4.0.5 beta - this is not correct.
The native silicon (beta) version, which is the release candidate, is version 2.2.1

Either way you look at it, it is still a Massive update...

They're all Massive updates by NI's standards. We should be in awe, ignoring Arturia, Fabfilter, U-He and others who did in months what NI and IK haven't done in years.

Neither Uhbik nor Filterscape is M1 native, so U-he not really a dev to hold up as a great example of timely updates.

Apparently surround support, (a legit request I don't need), is holding up Uhbik, and IMO they really need to just release a Filterscape 2 or a pull a Zebra 2 and update it. I haven't used it in years.

So a microcosm of what NI and IK are going through with Reaktor and T-Racks etc.

Post

U-he also has a smaller subset of products than those two vendors. What is it on a percentage of their commercial offerings? My point being, pick your examples carefully. AFAIK, Filterscape will not even open on a new macOS version.
