Yeah Union is a great synth. Cuts through mixes.

I'm finding I don't like the interface on Union. But it got me to check out Ravage and I like that one, so that's still a win.

I like the interface itself but the workflow is a bit messy. At least you can copy/paste envelopes from one place to another. I put up with its foibles, though, because it sounds so freakin' good.

Someone in here recommended Newfangled Audio - Generate as being a unique West Coast style synth.
I had a look, they have a free version called Pendulate and I have to say it's great. It can do a kind of clean, real-world, FM like sound that I like. For free its amazing.

by the amount of people who list rapid, i gather that rapid is pretty highly rated just less publicized. a hairy affair, the more people agree a synth is underrted the less underrated it is!
