Hi,
Is the difference between the various hosts sequencers, like FL, Cakewalk, Cubase and Logic only the handiness of reaching the different editing tools or are these hosts also differ in the quality of the sound produced?
Thanks,
The difference between various hosts?

I'm no expert but I think all major hosts can handle the available hardware pretty adequately so that they produce the same results in terms of quality of finished material.
The difference is in the user interface, the quality of the underlying software code and the interoperability with other music software like plugins, etc, all very important factors in providing a base where someone can create and/or edit music on a computer - a machine that was never designed to be anything other than a heavy doorstop.

the difference is the host I use is cool.. the host you use is poo.

but really.. some hosts offer different capabilities for mixdown quality.. as well as tools and features..
however, saying that, I'd also say that all major hosts out there are fairly well even on the basics these days.. so if I were starting fresh, I'd be much more concerned with user-friendliness of the host over sound quality..
