I just discovered Mcompressor yesterday and I'm loving the curve editor. It's so great being able to put a noise gate (map everything below a certain threshold to silence) and a compressor with an extra-round knee and a limiter (map everything above a certain threshold to a line of horizontal slope) all in the same curve!

But here's my question. I'm assuming that the MeldaProduction plugins use floating-point samples, which means that the loudness of the input way well exceed 0dBFS. However, the compression curve only goes up to 0. How does the plugin know what ratio to use for louder inputs if I can't draw that portion of the curve?

Gainstaging.

I would expect the compression curve to just keep the ratio value it has, when it jumps over 0. This would be the only logical behavior IMO.
