When I am in note mode editing and I grab a note that I want move down 1, when I start dragging the note goes way up and then comes down but it doesn't hit every note on the way down it skips notes and even goes up when I drag down sometimes.
How do I get the note to simply go down 1 instead of all this jumping about?
What am I not understanding?

use the up and down arrow keys.. it will skip notes that are not in the scale/chord.. but, the arrow keys are better than dragging.
