I am curious that nobody mentioned it before here in forum. VST3, resizable, low CPU usage, easy to use. For me it sounds really good.

Hot Air (freeware)

Advanced distortion generator.

Hot Air will increase the level of your tracks by producing extra harmonics.

The effect will bump the average level of your mixes/submixes without changing the peak level.

Since Hot Air is not a limiter nor a compressor it can be used alongisde your usual compression techniques.

Hot Air is very easy to operate:

- the Curve control varies the nature of the effect from minimum where the content seems to be expanded (increased dynamic range) - through halfway where the dynamic range seems least affected - to maximum where the programme is loudest and seems to have some degree of dynamic compression.

- blend is a simple Dry/Wet control which for example can allow you to layer a heavily effected copy of your input over the clean signal.

For all my opinion is worth.... tried the free version, after 15 mins bought Channel Love. Sounds pretty good to my ears, useful, fair price.

Channel Love looks good but no demo. Are there any audio or video examples? I'll try Hot Air but it looks different from Channel Love.

HotAir looks to be using the reverse engineered Sonnox Inflator formulas.

Win/Mac or Win Only?

HotAir is Win/Mac VST3. I guess that Channel Love too, because developer is on Mac.
