I expect Onyx to be the same as ProFX for line inputs. I hope it's transparent. Would be nice to have colouring but in that price it rather wouldn't be Neve like colourpekbro wrote: Thu Oct 20, 2022 10:06 pm I heard that Soundcraft mixers often have some quality issues. I have a Mackie mixer, the ProFX, it's been totally solid.![]()
I read about some issues in Soundcraft including noise at 8kHz (or somewhere there). Main output of RD-9 has it too so I would be pissed if I would get a mixer to use separate RD-9 outputs just to get this noise back again but from a mixer this time

Been through all 3 of the Elektron Digiboxes this year. Digitakt went cause I didn't like the sample management. Syntakt is a definite keeper. Jury still out on the Digitone, find the FM algorithm a bit too handicapped.

Yeah, it’s not great. They really should introduce an option where you can just load samples directly from any of the folders on the device rather than insisting you preload 127 of them into a project first. It makes it very painful when you want to audition a load of different sounds to find the best blend for a kit etc.
I get that it would make fast sample swapping harder to parameter lock, so maybe give us the option but disable pattern locking for the samples if that option is chosen?

Interesting timing because, coincidentally, I just completed the trifecta with my new Digitone.gcohara wrote: Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:29 am Been through all 3 of the Elektron Digiboxes this year. Agreed - although I did see someone on Reddit say you could use samples without loading them into the sound pool though I'm not sure that's correct and I'd sold it by that point so couldn't try it.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Oct 22, 2022 11:01 amYeah, it’s not great. Annoying that you can't meaningfully preview single cycle waveforms as well given this is supposed to be one of the selling points.

That's what it comes down to. Is it worth the space? I was looking at drum machines and realized I would have to get at least two to get what I wanted so I ended up buying Drum Computer from Sugar Bytes and making some nice analog drum patches on my synths. Perhaps not as fun as a physical box, but no extra space used.cryophonik wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 8:11 pmFine, I’ll buy onegcohara wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 5:05 pmYou're missing an Octatrackcryophonik wrote:Interesting timing because, coincidentally, I just completed the trifecta with my new Digitone.gcohara wrote: Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:29 am Been through all 3 of the Elektron Digiboxes this year. Jk, I’ve looked the OT a few times but it just doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve also looked at the Analog Heat, but I don’t think it’s something I’d get much use out of. Not to mention that I’m out of real estate in my little studio.

^^ You gotta rotate stuff, that's what I do. Better to keep stuff in a case when you're not using it anyway.
*Of course, this requires you to buy a case for everything

The RemindeЯ delay arrived about two years ago iirc ... I'm waiting on The Godfather atm. It's a 4-channel multi-fx unit. They're currently in production.vurt wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 11:32 pmwasn't that delay this year too? can't remember it's name, but it was fairly expensive but damn bloody awesome!!!thecontrolcentre wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 5:39 pm So far this year:

Definitely a good way to go, these work well too, for pretty cheap. Great for small synths and
did I say cheap? I've got a bunch of them.
