I had an official email from them about Iris2, Breaktweaker and Trash 2 with this EOL notice (I don't own any of the other products affected), and I assume that's why people have been talking about it. We're not making it up...Compyfox wrote: Wed Oct 26, 2022 5:16 pm No, there is still no additional information. In fact, I've yet to see an official email statement (via mail). So this is "breaking" as we speak (aka: spreading through word of mouth).

Where did I say that I'm making this up?
In fact, aside from still not having gotten a mail on this... They were... er... "pressured" to respond. Why? Apparently this KVR post made it to the ProTools Expert news...
iZotope Kill Off Almost All Exponential Audio Reverb Plugins
And neither the commenters, nor their Facebook commenters are happy.
I've said it before... don't shoot the messeger. Cat is out of the bag now. Somebody still tries to do this though (shooting the messenger)...
...but I'm sitting this out for the moment -- it really depends on what happens next...
May I ask when you got that email, @beely ?

That official mail was sent this morning. Can't say I'm surprised considering all the 10 dollar bargain basement pricing over the past couple of years though.

Still nothing in my mail inbox. Neither the spam filters. So to those of you that got this info, that's nice.
But as I said... cat is out of the bag now one way or the other. Would have been better with a longer up-front warning, plus better communication and a different handling. But oh well.

so after 1 year without offline installers you might be out of luck re-activating your plugins
, until offline installers are there i expect this. so guess need to check all projects with their plugins and render and replace....

@VitaminD
I am signed up to all of "Soundwide". My last email from iZotope was on 22nd Oct. The last one from NI on 13th (by the way, I've never gotten any info mail on Absynth's discontinuation either), and the last Plugin Alliance email was from earlier today (9am, German time).
So... yeah.
@Caine123
And as usual with your posts... sit back and wait. I just checked my iZotope account. Maybe I can convert my licenses from "Online (aka: Plugin Portal, C/R) and "Offline" (also C/R) to "iLok", therefore I can continue my licenses "until sh#t breaks" (or if somebody decides "we'll remove stuff from iLok as well -- which, again, is not unheard of... some companies did that). But I've yet to get an answer to my support inquiry.
However... after what I got PM'd in the afternoon... I don't think this will happen anytime soon. And if that is the case, I might talk about it. Else... sit back, relax, have some tea. This whole thing is blowing up right now, and a lot of people are not happy.

I also got the email before my first reply a few minutes ago.
First, the advanced versions of their plugins, the ones lots of people payed alot of money for, became secondary priority to their "pro" versions when they introduced their subscription model and now this...

"Ten years old"?
Companies like Izotope really have no issue with lying shamelessly to your face...
Iris 2 is 8 years old, Nimbus is 6 years old, R4 is 5.5 years old.
Hail Waves!

Not only that, @jens... nearly all Exponential Audio plugins were updated in June 2022. But I'm not a Mac (especially not M1) user, so I can't comment on that.
I also rather not "Hail Waves". While they do indeed keep their code updated, the way they handle things is just as abhorrent. Because their WUP is calculated upon the MSRP, not what their tools usually sell for. There is a "capped maximum fee", but there is no "flat fee" for upgrades -- and they start to do the "forced years upgrade" thing as well. Something that should also be called out IMHO.
However -- this isn't about Waves... this is about iZotope.
Other than that... "Advanced Versions" might(!) turn "Subscription Only" (which I can't seem to find any news/references about). Hard pass! What is this, Adobe?! (@Igor Sena)
@Johnnyjohn
No Trash 3 announced. And I was told "nothing on the horizon" (not an actual quote!). Which is... not a good move.

You didn't, you said you didn't get an email, so haven't seen anything official, and it's just people talking about this - hence why I screen grabbed the email for you to show that the talk you'd seen wasn't unfounded.
A few hours ago... let's see... it was 4:11pm (GMT) (it's 8pm now, so just under four hours from this post, and about half an hour before I posted the screengrab.)

I remember buying Breaktweaker even at full price I think. Was something like 200 € I think, it only received 3 updates ever in 9 years, and only small bugfixes or compatibility things. I was quite let down seeing it on sale for 9 $, lost my faith in iZotope over this. Still use Stutter Edit 2 though.

@beely
Okay, understood. Thanks.
@llze
I just asked on the status of "Stutter Edit 2", since this wasn't updated in years either. I suddenly get error messages on Facebook now.
